About This Solution

This demo introduces a selection of features available in the upcoming Cisco Meeting Server 3.0 software release. In this
release, Meeting Server introduces the new internal SIP recorder and streamer components to replace the XMPP internal
recorder and streamer components. Previously, Meeting Server’s internal recorder and streamer components were dependent
upon the Meeting Server’s internal XMPP server components. In 3.0 the XMPP server will be removed.
This demo allows you to use this new SIP recorder components, there are also a few other features that you can also try out,
such as the Guest join by URI on Cisco Meeting Server web app.

We are seeking your feedback on this new web app, in particular:

• How easy it was for you to use?

• Did you need to use any documentation (for example, Release Notes) to guide you?
• What was your experience of the calls?
• Was the audio quality excellent/average/poor?
• Was the video quality good/acceptable/poor?
Once you are finished with the demo, you will receive a survey with these questions – please enter your feedback and submit it.
Thank you in advance for taking part in this demo and submitting your feedback.

Topology

This demonstration includes several server virtual machines. Most of the servers are fully configurable using the administrative
level account. Administrative account details are included in the guide steps where relevant and in the server details table.

Scenario 1. Cisco Meeting Server Web App

The goal of this scenario is to use Cisco Meeting Server web app to join spaces and make calls.
This scenario consists of a preconfigured standalone Cisco Meeting Server running 3.0 software. Book a session, once the
session is available, join the session, and follow these steps:

1. Select the Details tab at the top of the web page. In the Select Details pop up box, scroll down to the DNS settings. Look for
an A record that starts join.xxxx.xxxxx. Copy the join.xxxx.xxxxx string.
2. Open a new tab on your browser and paste the join.xxxx.xxxxx string into the address bar. The web app sign in page will
appear.
3. Explore Cisco Meeting Server web app, using the credentials given in step 1 below.
Once you have fully explored the web app, try these tasks:
1. Sign into the Cisco Meeting Server web app using username: [email protected] and password: dCloud12345!
2. Create a meeting with aperez user.
3. Have a guest join the aperez meeting using another instance of the web app.
4. Have another user join from a sip endpoint.
5. To leave the space, click Leave Call.
6. Sign out of the web app.

Scenario 2. FAQ – Basic Demonstration Features

WebClient 3

1. Open a browser on your personal laptop or mobile device and go to http://join.cbXXX.dc-YY.com.

2. Click on the Details tab within your active session and scroll down to DNS Addresses section to find your unique URL. (Your
URL is unique and will not match the one in the picture below.)

To Join Meeting, use the following credentials. (Refer to the Session Users table.)

• Call ID: 6017 (This is the last four digits of the user extension you are dialing, in this case, Anita Perez)
• Passcode: leave blank (This is not set up for the demo.)
To Sign in, use the following credentials. (Refer to the Session Users table.)
• Username: <user id>@cms.dcloud.cisco.com, e.g. [email protected]
• Password: dCloud12345!

Scenario 3. B2B Video Call

There are two ways to initiate a B2B call. Try both.
1. From your dial pad, enter the conference number [email protected]. Enter the Call ID followed by # when
prompted.

NOTE: The call ID is the last four digits of the user you are dialing. Anita Perez is 6017. (Refer to the Session Users table.)

2. From your dial pad, enter the conference <user id>[email protected], e.g. [email protected].

Scenario 5. FAQ – dCloud Endpoint Router

A router is required for content that uses IP Phones or a device that does not support a Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection. For
best user experience, a router is recommended for content that uses multiple endpoints and voice and video. You can also use a
combination of a router and devices with Cisco AnyConnect. A router is not required to use the dCloud Remote Desk top client.
How to add your router to dCloud and then download the customized dCloud configuration files and the configuration tool.
Show Me How

After you configure a router for Cisco dCloud, you do not need to perform additional actions to start the IPSec VPN tunnel. The
IPSec VPN connection is automatically initiated when you do either of the following:

• Connect a Cisco IP phone or VXC device to the router’s switch ports.

• Connect your laptop to the router (wired or wireless connection) and initiate traffic to the session’s virtual machines. The
VPN connection starts when the session has an active status and ends when the session ends.
Additional Router information can be found at https://dcloud-cms.cisco.com/faqs/router-2.

Scenario 6. FAQ – Provision Your MRA and LAN Endpoint

LAN Devices

The new self-provisioning feature, beginning in Cisco Unified Communications Manager 10.0, allows you to connect your
phones and video capable endpoint devices to your Cisco dCloud router, and then provision them right from the device. The
devices are registered automatically, given a temporary extension, and then all you need to do is update the device with the
desired extension and it is fully provisioned for that user. Provision the phones using the Self-Provisioning feature in Cisco
Unified Communication Manager. Show Me How. Use the extensions listed the Session Users table.

MRA Devices

This instruction describes the steps needed to setup your Mobile and Remote Access (MRA) Endpoints for use in a Cisco dCloud
demonstration. The MRA endpoints are fused to demonstrate corporate employees who are working remotely from a home
office or other location.
These devices connect to the dCloud network through the Collaboration Edge Architecture, which is reachable from anywhere
on the internet. The Collaboration Edge Architecture is a pair of servers that spans the company network DMZ, connecting the
internal corporate network with the public internet. Any communication from outside the corporate network is routed securely
to the Unified Communications Manager without the use of VPN or other connection software.
Devices are a Cisco TelePresence DX70/DX80, a Cisco IP Phone 8845/8865, or a mobility device with Cisco Jabber installed .

Scenario 7. FAQ – Preconfigured Meeting Room Phones

We’ve already created meeting rooms located in various geographical locations reserved for this demonstration. If you would
like to run this demonstration as if you are in one of these locations below, you can assign your endpoint to the room itself, as if
it were a meeting room phone. This is a virtual instance of a physical meeting room to use for your session. Simply plug your
device into a Cisco dCloud router and follow the Self-Provisioning steps listed above, using the appropriate Self-Provisioning ID
listed in the following table. Show Me How

Scenario 8. FAQ – Adding External Domain to the Demonstration Whitelist

This guide describes the steps needed to setup your Business to Business (B2B) endpoints for use in a Cisco dCloud
Demonstration. The B2B endpoints are for employees from another business who are working onsite at another company’s
corporate office location.
What makes these devices unique in this demonstration, is that they are outside the dcloud.cisco.com domain and will not be
able to access the Cisco Unified Communications Manager server from this demonstration to provide communications services.
Because of this any B2B device must be using communication services from a customer’s office, a partner’s premises, or a Cisc o
meeting room (cisco.com). We will provide instructions on how to setup each of these thr ee options in this guide.
So ANY available endpoint device can be used, as long as it can make/receive SIP calls to/from the Internet. Show Me How
