TASK 1
1. Scientific notation
Scientific notation is scientific writing expressed in , with and n integers. Writing using
scientific notation or standard form: Scientific notation of large numbers is expressed a × 10ⁿ
with 1 a 10, n is a positive integer
2. Algebraic form
The algebraic form is a mathematical form which in its presentation contains letters to
represent unknown numbers. Algebraic forms can be used to solve problems in everyday life.
Unknown things such as the amount of fuel a bus needs per week, the distance traveled in a
given time, or the amount of fodder needed in 3 days, can be found using algebra.
3. Whole Number
Whole numbers are the set of non-negative integers or the set of natural numbers plus 0.
Whole numbers are always not negative. Whole numbers are identified in the numbers that
make up the set.
4. Even number
5. Odd numbers
Odd numbers are natural numbers that are not multiples of 2 and are not divisible by 2.
Examples of positive odd numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and so on.

Diagonal plane: 0.
d.
It has 5 sides, 1 side of the base is rectangular and 4 upright sides are triangular.
The number of corner points is 5, namely 4 corner points at the base and 1 at the top.
e.
f.
Has 12 ribs,
a.
v=s × s × s
v=6 ×6 × 6
v=216 cm3
b.
The base of the prism is known 6cm, the height 3cm, the height of the prism 12cm
Answer :
v= ( base ×height
2 ) × height of prism
v=( 6 ×2 3 )× 12
3
v=108 cm
c.
Cuboids
Cube
Answer :
Cuboids
v=length× height ×width
v=12× 4 × 4
v=192 cm3
Cube
v=s × s × s
v=4 ×4 ×4
3
v=64 cm
Total Volume
volume of cuboids+volume of cube=192+64=256 cm2
Exercise 2
1. Please describe the following shapes and their sections:
a.
Cones are curved sides like cylinders and spheres. This shape resembles a pyramid shape with a
circular base. A cone has 2 sides, 1 edge, and 1 vertex.
The part of the cone is the side of the base of the cone, the radius of the cone, the diameter of the
base of the cone, the height of the cone, the blanket of the cone, the painter's line of the cone, the
net of the cone
b.
A circle is a collection of points that form a closed curve, where the points are equidistant from a
certain point.
The parts of a circle are Center, Radius, Diameter, String, Arc, Segment, Slice, Apothem
c.
The tube is a shape that has curved sides. The tube has 3 main side planes, namely the side plane
of the base called the tube base, the curved plane called the tube blanket and the top plane called
the tube cap. The base and top sides of this cylinder are congruent and parallel circles. The tube
elements consist of the radius, diameter, and height of the tube. The radius of the tube is half of
the center of the circle in the tube section, while the diameter is twice the length of the radius of
the tube. The height of the tube is the width on the curved side of the tube blanket.
d.
A spiral is a kind of wire that pulls in circles, making the circle wider upwards. Object
Spiral.
e.
The terms "oval" or "oval" when used to describe curves in geometry are not well defined,
except in the context of projective geometry. Many different curves are commonly called ovals
or are said to have an "oval shape". In general, to be called an oval, the plane's curve must
resemble an egg-like shape or an ellipse.
f.
Cones are curved sides like cylinders and spheres. This shape resembles a pyramid shape with a
circular base. A cone has 2 sides, 1 edge, and 1 vertex.
The part of the cone is the side of the base of the cone, the radius of the cone, the diameter of the
