Scenario Exercises of Conditional Type 2

1) If John answered the phone, Bob would tell him that his car broke down in the middle of nowhere and a pack of dogs surrounded him, frightening him. 2) If Bob opened the door, the pack of dogs would likely attack him. 3) The person approaching with a torch was the owner of the dogs, who acted like he scared the dogs away, though he was actually a bandit, so Bob would be in danger if he got out of the car.

Bob: (speaking from the window) But how did you scare the dogs?
The man: I was lucky.
