B. Cleaning
Fully clean and rinse the IVD parts with water and recommended detergent until a
water-break free surface is attained. Use of the following cleaning procedure will
ensure the durability of IVD aluminum coated parts and assemblies.

CAUTION: It is strongly recommended that the detergents listed in Table 2 be used

when cleaning IVD coated parts. The use of improper cleaning solutions
may damage the IVD coating. Parts should not be exposed to cleaning

solutions longer than is necessary to remove dirt and other particles.
Follow the manufacturer’s recommended dilution and cleaning times.

(1) Before any surface coatings are applied, all parts are to be fully cleaned and
dried. Wash the parts using one or more of the approved cleaning methods
below.

cleaning can cause parts to lose their dimensional
tolerances.

(a) Put the parts into an ultrasonic soaking tank.

(b) Allow the parts to be ultrasonically cleaned for no more than
20 minutes.
