1. How should a Christian decide what is right or wrong?


- One of the most difficult tasks we all face is making decisions. We constantly make decisions in
our daily lives about what is right and what is not. As a Christian, I believe that God's will
determines what is right and wrong. Always remember to dedicate and direct everything to God
whenever we desire to do or achieve something. We should ask for God's guidance and trust that
he will always guide us in the right direction. When making a decision, we should consider the
benefits and drawbacks, as well as the costs and any hazards that may arise. When it comes to
making decisions, especially about what is right and wrong, we should constantly seek God's
grace, because I think that if we obey and give up all to him, he will help us and give us the
proper answer. We Christians must have a strong faith and a strong desire to follow God's rules
and commandments without question.

2. What moral basis, authority and standard should a Christian use in deciding what is right or
wrong, good and bad? Why should you use it?
- I believe bible is the moral foundation, authority, and standard that we Christians should employ
in determining what is right or wrong, good or terrible. Reading the Bible can assist us in making
decisions since it offers many concepts that we can apply to whatever difficulties we face. God
provides us the freedom to conduct our lives as we like by allowing us to read the Bible. The
greatest gift he can give is the gift of freedom. God wants us to make our decisions within the
overall plan of his will because we love him and desire to obey him.

3. CONSIDER: IS IT ALRIGHT FOR…


 a Christian student to join rallies and protests against graft & corruption
- Yes, it is alright, because as a Christian, participating in rallies and protests against graft and
corruption is a form of expression. It doesn't make us less human and it doesn't affect the belief
and our faith to Christianity.

4. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 You must


realize, however, that in the last
days difficult times

of themselves, lovers of money,
boastful,
6. arrogant, abusive, disobedient
to their parents, ungrateful,
unholy, unfeeling,
7. uncooperative, slanderous,

- 2 Timothy 3:1-5 You must realize, however, that in the last days difficult times will come.
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to
their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unfeeling, uncooperative, slanderous, degenerate, brutal,
hateful of what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God. They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such
people.

- As a result, it's fine if a Christian attends anti-corruption rallies and protests, since Christians
should speak out; it's all about how you say it and how you treat the leaders.

 a Christian lawyer to plead not guilty for a criminal he knows is guilty


- No, it is not alright, because whether he's a lawyer or not, it's his responsibility to protect his
client at all costs. It is an element of a lawyer's Ethical Conduct, but he is a Christian lawyer, thus
it has no bearing on his belief and faith in God. Defending someone who is a criminal might be
challenging for an honest Christian lawyer. Turning down the case is a matter of conscience for
me. You may get wealthy, but you will forfeit your Christian conscience and reputation.

- My little children, I am writing these things to you that you many not sin. And if anyone sins, we
have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation
for our sins” (1 John 2:1, 2).

- Being a lawyer for individuals who require assistance is acceptable. It is acceptable to defend
persons who are guilty by providing truthful defenses and ensuring that trials are fair and all
evidence is presented. It is acceptable to defend the criminal, pleading sympathy and mercy
before the court, if you know the defendant is guilty. However, your conscience strength is also a
factor.
 a Christian airline steward to serve liquor
- Yes, it is alright, because it’s her job to serve his/her passenger

- "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."
(Ephesians 5:6)

- In the bible it says that it’s okay to drink liquor as long as it cannot go to bad results.

 a Christian doctor to sign a form for a patient he knows is not valid


- No, it is not alright, because its his responsibility if there’s anything go wrong to patient. A
doctor owes certain duties to his patient and a breach of any of these duties gives a cause of
action for negligence against the doctor.

 a Christian working at a bar


- Yes, it is alright, as long as you know your job isn't against the law or, more importantly,
against God's will.

- Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice
homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit
the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

- Working in a bar is acceptable as long as your job does not diminish your dignity as a God's
child, as stated in the bible scripture, and as long as your work does not violate the law.

 a Christian gambling
- No, it is not alright, because even though gambling is not mention in bible, we should still follow
what’s written in scriptures and we should always do good.

- 1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving
that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

- Although the bible does not specifically address gambling, staying out of greed is dependent on a
person's beliefs and attitudes on moderation and responsibility.

 a Christian to pay taxes, knowing some goes to unethical, unbiblical practices


- Yes, it is alright, because it is a person's right and obligation to pay taxes and contribute to the
government or society to which he or she belongs.
- Matthew 22:17-21 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But
Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for
the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and
inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the
things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”

- Taxes are used to build railroads and government properties that are open to the public.
Nonetheless, the Gospels make it clear that Jesus urged his disciples, not just in words but also
by example, to pay whatever taxes owed to the government and to give God what he also
deserves.

 a Christian going to war and fight


- Yes, it is alright, because as long as you are fighting for what is right it is okay. Also, fighting for
our country against our enemies is acceptable because it is our right to defend ourself when we
are threatened.

- “When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more
numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from
the land of Egypt, is with you.” (Deuteronomy 20:1)

- God empowers us to stand up for our rights, especially when we are threatened and know we are
correct. We can't just let others take advantage of our goodwill; sometimes we have to fight back
so that they understand that we can fight for our own rights, but we must remember that God is
always with us.

 a Christian becoming a politician


- Yes, it is alright, because for me it is okay to participate in politics because i believe in a God
who is deeply concerned about his world and creation, as well as how it is administered. Because
it is about how God wants people to live and act toward him and each other, the Bible is
extremely political. Christians should participate in politics so that their leadership reflects
Christianity and serves as an example to others.

- Romans 13:1-7 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no
authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever
resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but too bad. Would you have no fear of the one who
is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant
for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is
the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore, one
must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.”
- It is okay for Christians to become involved in politics in order to remedy some of politics'
harmful faults. As long as he understands that filthy games are strictly prohibited. Politics is a
kind of government in which every believer should become involved since he or she has the
ability to persuade others to do and be good.

 a Christian to lie if human life is in danger


- No, it is not alright, because it is the life that we talking. Life is very important aspect in life that
we need to protect.

- "You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another" (Leviticus 19:11)

- In this biblical saying, it says that we should not steal nor lie to others. It means that we should
not lie because we don’t know what will happen next and it might affect one’s life. So, we
should be careful on what we saying.

 a Christian becoming a business partner with a non-Christian


- Yes, it is alright, because for me it is okay to have a partner with a non-Christian since we all
have various beliefs, faiths, and religions, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't respect one another.
As a Christian, God taught us to respect, accept, and love one another regardless of differences in
appearance, beliefs, or religion.

- Romans 14:1-23 “As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over
opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.
Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass
judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the
servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for
the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while
another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.”

- Differences in belief, faith, and religion are OK as long as you and your partner know how to
appreciate and tolerate one another. Acceptance and respect are powerful acts that both parties
must perform in order for a partnership to work. This is true not only in business but in all types
of relationships.
