Assignment 1

This document contains 17 questions related to operational amplifiers (op-amps). Some questions ask about op-amp configurations, parameters, and specifications like open-loop gain, bandwidth, slew rate, and offset voltage. Other questions involve designing compensating networks, averaging amplifiers, integrators, and calculating voltages given circuit configurations and component values.

1.

An op amp wired in the inverting configuration with the input grounded,

having feedback resistance as 100 kΩ and RI = 1kΩ, has an output dc voltage of -
0.5V. If the input bias current is known to be very small, find the input offset
voltage.

2. An instantaneous input change of 10V is applied to a unity gain inverting

amplifier . If the op-amp is a 741 C, how long will it take for the output voltage to
change by 10V ?

3. What is the open-loop gain of an op-amp that has a unity-gain Bandwidth of 1.5
MHz for a signal frequency of 1KHz.

4.Design a compensating network for the LM307 Op-amp. The Op-amp uses ±
10V supply voltages. Vio specified on the datasheet of the LM307 is 10mV
maximum. The value of V= VCC = -VEE = 10 V.

5. Draw input offset voltage compensated network for noninverting amplifier with
feedback and inverting amplifier with feedback.

8. Consider a noninverting averaging amplifier with three inputs. Va = Vb = 1.5 V, Vc = 3 V. R 1= R = 1.5

kΩ, and V0 = 5.2 V. Determine the required value of R F.

9. Design a practical integrator circuit to properly process input sinusoidal waveform up to 1kHz. The
input amplitude is 10 mV.

11. Calculate the input voltage if the final output is 10.08 V

12. Determine the value of Rf (assuming that all have the same value)

15.

What is the highest frequency of a triangle wave of 20-V peak-to-peak amplitude that can be
reproduced by an op amp whose slew rate is 10V/µs? For a sine wave of the same frequency what is the
maximum amplitude of output signal that remain undistorted?

16. For the Op-Amp circuit shown in the figure, Vo is?
