The outcomes of how grade 11 stem students at the University of
the East Caloocan use their digital literacy to pass the new learning modalities during the pandemic. 2. Write the Background of Research: The Internet is a technology that has become a huge part of people's daily lives. Over the last few decades, internet connectivity has improved tremendously and is available everywhere such as homes, offices, travel, and schools. Today, empirical studies report that access to information can influence the academic performance of students. However, studies on Internet use among high school students are limited in Wa Township, making it unclear whether Wa Township high school students use the Internet and what impact it has on their academic performance. Therefore, this study investigates Internet use and its impact on high school students in Wa Township. Primary data was obtained from a random selection of 314 high school students who are in their third year. Data were collected through a questionnaire and then analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square, and ANOVA. The results indicate that Internet sources for high school students include the school information communication lab, mobile phones, home Internet facilities, and public Internet cafes. In addition, it was found that students' access to the Internet has a positive influence on their academic performance. However, the different uses of the internet among students do not influence their academic performance. The study concludes that the availability of different Internet sources for students does not give them immediate access to all of them. Therefore, it is recommended that senior secondary school principals liaise with Ghana Education Service administration and policy makers to provide Internet infrastructure in schools. This is relevant because the provision of internet infrastructure in schools is a key strategy to promote academic performance. In the Philippines recently, the education system has faced an unprecedented health crisis that has shaken its foundations. Given the current uncertainties, it is vital to gain a nuanced understanding of students' online learning experience in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although many studies have investigated this area, limited information is available on the challenges and the specific strategies students employ to overcome them. Therefore, this study attempts to fill the gap. Using a mixed methods approach, the findings revealed that college students' online learning challenges varied in terms of type and scope. Their biggest challenge was related to their home learning environment, while their least challenge was competition and technological literacy. The findings further revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic had the greatest impact on the quality of the learning experience and the mental health of students. Regarding the strategies used by the students, the most used were the management and use of resources, seeking help, improving technical ACTIVITY 4 OF GROUP 5 aptitude, time management and control of the learning environment. Implications for classroom practice, policy making, and future research are discussed
A structured search of library databases revealed that research examining the
effectiveness of e-Learning has increased considerably in the last five years. After taking a closer look at the search results, the authors discovered that previous researchers defined and investigated effectiveness in multiple ways. At the same time, learning and development professionals within public and private organizations are increasingly being asked to demonstrate the effectiveness of their learning and development initiatives. This article investigates the effectiveness of e-Learning through an integrative review. The article answers the following research questions: How is the effectiveness of e-Learning defined? How is the effectiveness of e- Learning measured? What makes e-Learning solutions effective? The authors found 19 different ways to define efficacy, the most common of which is "learning outcome," which appears in 41% of the articles examined in the literature review. Also, the most common way to measure efficacy is quantitatively with pre- and post- tests. This paper includes an empirical study of an e-learning solution for science teachers (K-12) that serves as a valuable addition to the findings of the literature review. The study suggests that it is difficult to use e-Learning to improve teacher performance, since participating teachers can apply various strategies to avoid substantial changes in their work-related practices. In addition, the study shows that the mere use of compliance with predefined learning objectives as a parameter of effectiveness does not allow developers and researchers to see unexpected and unintended changes in practice that occur as a result of the e-Learning program. Finally, the research provides insights into the validity of self-assessments, suggesting that participants can successfully report their own practices, provided certain qualitative survey approaches are used. In this article, a model is developed to understand the relationships of the key factors that influence efficacy. The model classifies these factors from three perspectives: the context in which the eLearning solution is used, the artifact (the eLearning solution itself), and the people using the artifact. Support and resources, people's motivation and prior experience, and the interaction between the artifact and the people using it were found to influence effectiveness.
