1.

It is sometimes said that people who do physically hard jobs should be paid as
much as those with higher-level qualifications. Do you agree or disagree with
this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples.
2. Computer games are becoming very popular among children of all ages and
nationalities. Parents say they are concerned because these games have little
educational value and many harmful effects. Do you agree or disagree?

Computer games are played by people of all ages, nationalities, and genders. Parents have
always been anxious about computer games ever since the advent of gaming culture. They
argue that computer games are a complete waste of time and provide no benefit to children
and are rather harmful to children. This essay will cover the positive aspects these games can
have and also the negative effects on children.
From my perspective, I believe that parents need to alter their thinking a bit and show
flexibility towards children who play computer games in moderation, as computer gaming has
a fair amount of beneficial impact on children. Having said that, an excess of playing
computer games can be harmful to children.
Firstly, the gaming industry is a huge industry with people of all ages and nationalities as
consumers. In particular, children play computer games with great verve. In my opinion,
playing computer games can positively impact children. For instance, children may learn new
languages while playing computer games as they interact with new people from different
countries. Moreover, interaction with new people online while gaming will help children in
the long run by developing their communication skills. Furthermore, playing computer games,
first-person shooting, in particular, helps them to sharpen and hand-eye coordination in
children. Playing online computer games with friends also helps to develop the ability to work
effectively as a group. Additionally, computer gaming can also be taken up professionally.
Nowadays, with many international gaming tournaments taking place around the world each
year with monetary incentives being provided to the participants of such tournaments.
Therefore, encouraging children who are particularly talented and passionate about computer
games can help them to take it up as a career. These benefits of gaming can be availed by
children if they are allowed to play games.
In contrast, there are also many problems with the increasing popularity of computer games.
Many children become addicted to them and they play for hours, sometimes through the
night. Furthermore, some children find it difficult to identify what is real and what is virtual.
Some people argue that this has led to a rise in crime inspired by video games. This is not
proven, but it is undeniable that games today can be very violent.
In conclusion, from my perspective, I believe that parents need to alter their thinking a bit and
show flexibility towards children who play computer games in moderation, as computer
gaming has a fair amount of beneficial impact on children. Having said that, an excess of
playing computer games can be harmful to children. Although, it is more helpful than harmful
for children.

3. Some people say that the educational success of a student is the result of the
work of a good teacher. Others say it depends on the character of the student.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
4. Some people think that children should be taught at school how to become
good parents. Do you agree or disagree?

One of the parent's most important responsibilities is perhaps taking good care of their
offspring. It is believed that it should be compulsory for all mums and dads to take parenting
courses so that they are better prepared for parenthood. While I accept that such classes are
beneficial, I do not agree that they should be mandatory. This essay will discuss the reasons
for this and the requirements to be a skilled parent.
To begin with, parenting class is considered a rudimentary need before entering family life,
and therefore, it should be given to students in their school. Parents would benefit a great deal
from parenting classes. Firstly, such courses provide mothers and fathers with in-depth
knowledge about how to raise a kid at different developmental stages. Parents who decide to
take parenting courses will have a better understanding of their children’s needs; therefore,
they can take the best care of them. Second, mums and dads in parenting classes are equipped
with basic medical training to deal with emergencies more effectively. For instance, first aid
training teaches parents what to do if their child has a high fever or a breathing issue.
Despite such benefits of taking part in parenting courses or workshops, I believe that they
should not be compulsory. There are many reasons. Firstly, many parents, especially those
who struggle financially, have to work overtime, in the evenings or even at weekends, just to
make ends meet. Forcing them to attend those classes would affect their work and their lives.
Therefore, I think that parents should be free to decide whether or not they want to participate
in those courses instead of being forced to do so.
Furthermore, several skills must be adopted by adolescents before being parents. Young
people can learn this knowledge from experience and books. The wisdom to yourself and
other people is an excellent resource. Some people even write their understanding into books;
therefore, young people can refer to those parenting books. For instance, how to care baby
bruises, how to be a good new mom, etc.
To conclude, school is a place to educate pupils in every part of life including parenting class
for students to help them more understand their duties of how to be a good mother/father.
Despite some benefits that parenting classes offer, I believe that they should be optional rather
than compulsory.

5. Nowadays fast food is a trend in many places and countries. Many believe
that it is affecting our lifestyle and diet too much. Do you agree or disagree
with this statement?

In the modern world, the popularity of readily available food has seen a long-term gradual
increase. There is an opinion that this adversely affects people's mode of life, as well as their
diet, and I agree with the current statement. Hence, the following essay will cover the
mentioned point, and I will also provide relevant examples to explain my view.

Firstly, as a result of fast food consumption, lifestyles are more passive. Before such
restaurants, it was more common for consumers to buy raw ingredients and prepare nutritious
meals at home. This occurs less often now as fast food offers a cheap, quick alternative. Over
time, this can lead to worsening cooking skills and a generally more lethargic lifestyle
predicated around ordering meals and watching TV shows and movies. To put it differently,
since it provides people with the opportunity to eat outside and spend less time for this
process, humans tend not to gather with their families around one table

Secondly, fast food is one of the least healthy possible additions to an individual’s diet.
Healthy foods tend to be fresh fruits and vegetables and fast food consists largely of
preservatives, chemicals, addictive fats, and sugar. To illustrate this, the well-known fast-food
chain of cafes "KFC" offers its visitors options for lunch and dinner, which are cooked with a
huge amount of oil, so by choosing this a person will have an unbalanced diet. Even eating a
single fast-food meal a day has been shown in numerous independent research studies to
increase the risk of diseases ranging from diabetes to cancer and obesity. Fast food companies
have recognized this themselves and now offer healthy alternatives such as mini-salads to
appeal to an increasingly health-conscious public.

To conclude, although fast food has become popular because of its convenience and favorable
taste, it has an effect on an individual's well-being. It leads to some diseases, overweight, and
obesity. In my opinion, I strongly believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

6. These days many people do little or no exercise at all, and they have health
problems as a result. Why don’t many people get enough exercise? What can
be done about it?

Nowadays, the ratio of workers who suffer from different health-related issues is increasing
faster than ever, and the general health of working-class people is deteriorating. Such disasters
have stemmed from work pressure, lack of physical exercise, and dependency on machines to
do human's work. Exercises, outdoor activities and encouragement by the employer and the
government to do workouts, and finally, a balanced diet are the solutions to this problem. In
the next paragraphs, I will discuss the reason and what can be done to prevent it.
One of the main reasons for working people not to do enough or any exercise is the abysmal
working condition where working life is extremely competitive and full of anxiety. For
instance, employers have constant deadlines and tough targets at their offices, and to achieve
them, they have to work for long hours each day. It drains their stamina, and as a
consequence, they do not want to do any exercise even when they are at home. In addition,
dependency on technology has fueled the condition. For example, many who have jobs in the
medical sector in the UK work more than 16 hours per day, thus it is difficult to work out.
Due to technological advancements, people have exchanged the available time for exercise
with browsing the internet, watching television, and checking their accounts on social media
websites. They also prefer to drive than to walk, and use washing machines to clean their
clothes- just to give some examples. This trend, in turn, has negative impacts on their health.
A possible solution to this problem would be a predefined schedule would be a good idea to
keep fit. To remain fit, those workers have to stop leading a sedentary lifestyle and start
moving. The government can facilitate outdoor activities so that people get out and take part
in those activities after office hours. Employers have to realize that healthy employees mean
better productivity and should arrange exercise facilities at the office premises. For instance,
many fitness specialists recommend that by running, for just 20 minutes, in the morning
before work, people could improve their health status a lot.
In conclusion, exercise is vital to our health, productivity, and life. A lot of people don't do
that much exercise or do not make time for it even when not after work or in their free time,
which can have health problems. so we will spend 10 to 15 minutes a day exercising to
improve health.
