Description
This training covers of two surface NDT inspection methods and offers a high practical content
and relevant theoretical background to enable student to achieve well understanding of
Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), qualified to operate MPI
machine & LPT in order to judge the quality of welding based on the acceptance criteria used.

Who Should Attend

1. All personnel who require a through and comprehensive of SNT-TC-1A in MPI & LPT of
welded joint.
2. All NDT personnel, inspector, and technicians engaged in or responsible for, inspectionof
welding, casting, forgings or fabricated items during manufacture or in services.

This training module divided into 6 modules, as follows:


1. MODULE I (QSHE Awareness With Our God Voice)

2. MODULE II (Material, Welding, & NDT Defectology)

3. MODULE III (Magnetic Particle Inspection & Liquid Penetrant Testing module for MT & PT
Level I & II Theory & Practice)
    i. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
       - General knowledge
       - Physical principles and fundamentals of magnetic particles
       - Methods and techniques
       - Equipment and accessories
       - Code, Standard, Specification and Procedures
       - Presentation and recording of result
       - Interpretation of result, limitations
       - Practice Magnetic Testing(participants shall be wear safety shoes, mask & safety glass)
   ii. Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)
       - Physical principles of test Processing
       - Test equipment and materials
       - Code, Standard, Specifications and procedures
       - Recording
       - Specifications, codes, standards and procedure
       - Practice Penetrant Testing(participants shall be wear safety shoes)
4. MODULE IV (Safety MIGAS)
5. MODULE V (Safety DISNAKER)
6. MODULE VI (Examination)

Duration

1. The training conducted in 160 hours minimum


2. Normal training conducted at 19.00 to 23.15 WIB.

Inspection (MPI or MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT or PT) ASNT Level II Certified by
ASNT Level III, MIGAS, APITINDO and DISNAKER Batam.
