Title:ProspeedZj: ER-117(Code=531) mA Accuracy Error,due to Bad X-Ray Tube.

Modality:  CT YMS

Model Type:  ,

Problem Description:
When trying to scan, system kicks out an MA accuracy error, XG 117 Code 531. FE started the call as a DOA
report and found out the the board he was filling the report out on was good. Filamnet cable, filament board,
and CPU were replaced, but system still had the same problem intermittenlty, Tube has over 100k slices.

Solution Description:
Tube was the solution too. Just to mention, when scanning using small filament, off-line scans, no errors.
When switching back to large filament, errors right away.

Additional Solution Description:

Replace tube.

Title:ProspeedZJ: ER-117(Code=531) caused by anode and cathode HV cables going to X-ray tube revered.

Modality:  CT YMS

Model Type:  ,

Problem Description:
FE was trouble shooting system for intermittent XG failures ER-117(Code=541) anode overcurrent.
Bleeder was put in place of tube to run KV check seeing if any spits were occuring from
HV tank.
Tyraps had to be clipped on HV cables comming from HV tanks so they could reach the bleeder.
Upon hooking back up tube ER-117(Code=531) mA accuarcy error began.
Problem was that anode and cathode HV cables had be swapped.

Solution Description:
Uncrossed HV cables - Anode cable went to anode side of tube, cathode cable went to cathode tube well.

Solution ID: CT-SOLUTION-004564

Title:ProspeedZJ,ProspeedQj: ER-117(Code=531)intermittently,due to loose capacitor in the filament supply.
Modality:  CT YMS
Model Type:  ,
Problem Description:
This error ER-117(Code=531)mA Accuracy error was showing up, intermittently, and what was suspected to be
the cause of it, had already been replaced, mainly filament cable that runs from filament supply to the cathode
tank but did not help. Before ordering any other parts involved, recommendation was to physically inspect the
filament supply for any open wires, making bad contact perhaps, or something else, and it was found that the
two capacitors, inside of the filament supply that feeds 30VDC unregulated, were loosen, causing the
intermittency.
Solution Description:
Loose capacitors found in the filament supply.

Title:Prospeed QJ: ER-117(Code=532 KV Accuracy error).
Modality:  CT YMS
Model Type:  ProspeedQJ,  Not Applicable
Problem Description:
FMI 26730 had been previously performed. Then the x-ray tube died, and had to be replaced.
In the process of running Tbe-cal program, under maintenance menu, system would send a XG error code 532.
Went over the program again, and it is noticed that the failing technique is 120kv and 20ma. Attempted to run
off-line scans selecting 20ma technique and it was found , that THE prospeed's lowest ma station is 60ma !!!.
Suspected either a software bug. FE reloaded software and attempted Tube cal, this time it worked with no
errors.
Something may have happened during the LFC when upgrading system to 6.03 software.
Solution Description:
Running generator automated diagnostics, found out that only 3 lights lit up, on the anode inverter, and 4 lights
on the cathode inverter.
Replaced anode invertor- System ok.
Joe Ianniello
Additional Solution Description:
In this situation, besides the subcode 532, system was also experiencing subcode 538 and 545 errors.
XG diagnostics proved that the faulty component was the cathode tank.
Additional Solution Description:
Prospeed systems with fluoro option installed, are the only ones with lowest ma being 20ma. This particular
system did not have the option installed, nor the firmware to support 20ma station.
FE reloaded software and attempted Tube cal, this time it worked with no errors.

Title:ProspeedQj,ProspeedZj: ER-117(Code=072),due to KV board frequency needing adjustment.
Modality:  CT YMS
Model Type:  ,
Problem Description:
Although a code 072 usually relates to a filament problem, the KV board can cause this problem as well.If so, it
usually shows up when a new KV board is installed.See attached E-Mail in resolution.
Solution Description:
EQUIP: ProSpeed , SRi , SYNERGY
SUBJECT: YMS KV Boards may need slight Tweek ?
PROBLEM: KV Bds in OBCR ( "some" factory adjusted, may need tweek )
SOLUTION: Below is a procedure to check and ADJUST ( if necessary )
a replacement KV board if it appears as a "DOA".
-----------
The original procedure means going into service mode,
changing a parameter, and stuff, with a scope on the board:
Here is the FAT FINGER quick METHOD :
---------------------------------------------------------------
1) Switch off XG.
2) Place KV board on extender.
3) Completely de-regulate P1 by turning fully CW or CCW.
4) Connect scope to TP 40 (GND=TP 10)
5) Apply power to XG.
6) Verify that after power-up-test, LEDs "FIL OVER" and
"FIL SUPPLY ERROR" are illuminated. (This indicates that
VCO frequency is out of spec). Verify also, the LED's on
the kV Board turned on .
7) Adjust P1 to set the frequency to 39.1 +/- 0.1 kHz.
8) Press XG CPU RESET.
9) Verify that following Power-up-test, LEDs "FIL OVER" and
"FIL SUPPLY ERROR" are no longer illuminated. Verify also,
the LED's on the kV Board turned off .
10) Verify without any further P1 adjustment, that the fre-
quency at TP40 now settles at :
Between 66 to 70 kHz for ProSpeed.
Between 57.6 to 70.4 kHz for SYTEC SRi/SYNERGY.
11) Switch off XG.
12) Replace KV board in OBC.
13) Run system as normal.
CAUSE: Please add a note, that this adjustment never normally needs
adjustment and should NOT be done as part of the PM, unless
you are having problems. It is just when we have a NEW board,
which "appears" not to be adjusted, that we should entertain
the above.

COMMENTS: Some KV Bds received "may need" a slight TWEEK to I/F with
your system.

Title:ProspeedQj, ProspeedZj, Synergy, Sytec SRi: ER-117(Code=72), due to bad X-Ray Tube.

Modality:  CT YMS

Model Type:  ProspeedQJ,  Not Applicable

Problem Description:
System is having ER-117 XG error code 72 (Modification of Parameter is not allowed)
Normally this error refers to the filament.

1.- Look at the LEDs on the FILAMENT-bd, in stand by we should have 5 green LEDs and 1 yellow LED
In this case, FIL_SUPPLY_OK and FIL_OVER were ON (both LEDs are red)
2.- With the System off, measure the Filament Impedance in the x ray tube as follows . . .
Large-Common and Small-Common --> both readings should be less than one ohm.
If one of them is more than 1 ohm, we have an open filament.
(Note: In Sytec SRi and Synergy systems We use one filament only, which is the large one,
but the short filament is shorted out, the short circuit between small-common should be
present always.
3.- To make sure that we only have an open filament, with the system off, take out the HV Cathode
cable and short out the 3 pins between themselves with a piece of solder.
Bring the power back on, DO NOT MAKE ANY EXPOSURE, look at the LEDs at the FILAMENT-BD
and the 2 RED LEDs, FIL_OVER and FIL_SUPPLY_OK should be OFF, the other 5 GREEN LEDs and the
YELLOW one should be ON only

Solution Description:
System: Prospeed Qj
Software: V/R 6.03
Problem:
-------
FE having ER-117 XG Errors ( Code=72 Modification of Parameters is not Allowed )

What was done:

-------------
1.- Look at the LEDs on the FILAMENT- Board, FIL_SUPPLY_OK and FIL_OVER were ON
(both LEDs are red).
2.- Checked the L.V Power Supply..............O.k
3.- Checked Filament Supply...................O.k
4.- Filament Impedance in the X-Ray Tube......O.k
5.- Reset the OBC and LED's came back On.
6.- FE was told to replace the C17 on filament board, 470uf 63volts,
replaced with 470uf 80 volts purchased locally, this fixed the
filament error.

Additional Solution Description:

X-Ray tube replaced and problem went away.
