STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Prajesh Arvindbhai Virani, have been accepted by Conestoga College in the program
of Post-Graduate Certificate in Applied Electrical Motion and Control Management. I
am pleased to apply for the study permit of Canada and submitting the application for
your consideration.

ACADEMICS:

 I present myself as a tech enthusiastic person whose life is basically all about Electrical systems.
Since I was in 10th Grade, I made my mind about making a career in Electrical Field. This passion
and love for Electrical led me to pursue Diploma in Electrical from Bhagwan Mahavir College of
Polytechnic, which is part of Gujarat Technological University (GTU). I have successfully
completed my Diploma with 7.67 CGPA.

 After completion of Diploma I persuaded my Bachelors in same field from M V Patel Institute of
Technology which is part of Charusat University, And I have Successfully secured 6.92 CGPA in
Bachelors Degree.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

 After wrapping up the engineering program, I was on-boarded by Shree Laxmi Electrical Stores
who are Govt. Electrical Contractor on the role of a Junior Engineer. One month I worked in a
probation period. I worked there from 20th May 2019 to 20th may 2021.

 While working I got to know that I have a lot of potential in me and I can learn more
about my field. So, I started looking for further education. After seeing my interest in my
core subjects my father and elder brother advise me to study in abroad.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY:

 With my thoughts of pursuing Canadian Studies in my desired field, I prepared for IELTS while I
was working at Shree Laxmi Electrical Stores and appeared for the examination on 18th Jan,
2020 and I secured a good band score only and only because of hard work. This has been
listed below.
Overall: - 6.5

Writing: - 6.0, Speaking: - 6.5, Reading: - 7.0, Listening: - 7.0

REASON FOR CHOOSING APPLIED ELECTRICAL MOTION AND CONTROL MANAGEMENT:

  During my graduation time, I studied a lot of subjects related to electrical field in which
my favorite subjects were DC Machines and Transformers, Control System Engineering,
Digital Signal Processors for Electrical Engineering, Fundamentals of Power Electronics,
Power System Protection and Switchgear, Digital Electronic Circuits. So I was searching
for the program which enlarge my knowledge and suitable for my further studies. Thus,
when I found the same program at Conestoga College, I accepted it to further solidify
this knowledge and expand horizons in the electrical world.

 This 2-year post-graduation certificate program expand my knowledge into the practical
applications of AC and DC power for motion and propulsion. Applications of AC/DC
motors, transformers, inverters, batteries and chargers as well as programmable logic
controllers are explored

 These types of technologies are typically found in electric drives operating throughout
industrial manufacturing and primary industries such as pulp and paper, metals and
mining, power generation, elevators, escalators as well as moving walkways and electric
transportation systems.

 So, I can broaden my practical knowledge in those fields. Also, there is a project that I
have to do each semester with a team, so I can use the knowledge that I have acquired
previously. Moreover, it will help me to enhance my communication and management
skills.

WHY CONESTOGA COLLEGE?

 While seeking to find a college that matches my requirement, I drew up a list of Canadian
Institutes that offers the best Electrical program in the current times. My quest to find the best
college for me led me to Conestoga College. The curriculum of the Conestoga College is as per
my interest, which will prove to be a driving factor that will ensure complete learning. I believe
that the college's course will sharpen my learning and skillset by offering me the right
combination of classroom learning and practical exposure, thereby guaranteeing the delivery of
successful projects at my hand after completing the program. The college's program will also
help me hone corporate skills and impart subject-related knowledge, which will help me scale
up in the dream job that I have dreamt of acquiring back in my country.

 Furthermore, the renowned teaching faculty at the college and the alumni's successful careers
promise me end-to-end learning, guidance, and encouragement. The comprehensive curriculum
that the college offers to those who enroll in the Applied Electrical Motion and Control
Management program will prepare me for the career that I have envisioned for myself. The

 My preference for studying in Canada is a result of a lot of research and consultations

 with many different people including my friends who are also international students in
Canada. Through my research, I came across that Canadian education in the field of
technology is well known in the world because they mainly focus on practical based
education. Above all, Canadian education truly receive great recognition for their
excellence.

 I think this quality and practical based education of Canada will surely empower my
basic skills in the field of technology to fulfill my dreams. Also, this is the main reason for
me to choose Canada.

 Another crucial reason is the affordable cost of academic and living expenses.

 The next significant reason is the low crime rate and friendly behavior of Canadians.
Because of this, Canada is considered as a peaceful and highly safe country.

 All in all, excellent education, affordable cost and higher safety index of Canada
strengthened my decision to select Canada as my further study destination.

POST STUDY PLAN:

 In past decade, the world has shown tremendous growth in Electrical Energy Generation and
Transmission sector and there will be a huge demand for professionals in this sector in near
future. So, I would like to come back to my motherland after successful completion of my post-
graduation course and join some reputed multi-national organization to make a bright career.

 India will be my preferred destination to settle down due to its increasing job prospects and
having my lovely family here.

requirement to be completed to attend the Post-graduate certificate course in Applied electrical Motion
and Control Management at the Conestoga College.
