ANALYZE

Analyze the routines set by the Resource Teacher by answering the following questions.
1. Were the routines effective in ensuring discipline and order in the class? Why? Why not?

-I believe it is a Yes that it has its great impact in monitoring and establishing behavior of stduents. Thus it builds
a positive discipline among students where eventually affect the way they learn. These rules does not only makes the
work of the teacher easy, in fact it enables the students to alleviate their confidence, relationship with their teachers
and establish an instruction with respect to everyone. It drives the class to a well-organized, orderly classroom
instruction and management.

2. Which of those routines were systematic and consistently implemented? Explain your answer.

-I think it is the checking of attendance, asking question during class discussion and giving activities. These
routines I believe are systematic and consistent because these are manifestation that the learners are participating in
the class. It is a consistent routines where you can observed it daily or as discussion goes by.

REFLECT

Reflect on the various routines observed.

1. Which of the routines will you most likely apply in your class? Why? Why not?

-I will most likely apply asking questions during class discussion because educators do not just end at sharing
knowledge but also have this called assessment . thus, it will not only tests if your students are listening. In addition, it
helps you to monitor if they truly learn something or nothing. Asking questions also checks their prior knowledge where
we can put and add into it. However it will eventually drives you to make strategy that is relevant and appropriate to the
needs of the students.
ACTIVITY 6.2 Listing Down Classroom Rules

School: Saint Ferdinand College Grade/Year Level: Grade 9
Subject Area: Arts Date:

OBSERVE
Observe a class and list down the classroom rules formulated by the Resource Teacher. Cite the importance of
these rules.

Classroom rules are imperative and must be reinforced for learners’ safety and security. Rules also teach
discipline and self-control. Rules eliminate stress and will provide a more pleasant, secured and non-threatening
environment. Rules ensure the students’ engagement and focus in their classroom activities.
Classroom Rules Importance
1. E.g. Read direction well - Ensures less error in answering the activity.
2.Be on time In order to have energy and be ready with the
discussion.
3.Raise your hand and wait for your name to be Ensures less chaos and misunderstood ideas. Give
called way to deliver ideas clearly.
4.no eating/drinking Eating and drinking while class is on going
distracts the students from focusing.
5.keep quiet or mute yourself Ensures respect to the speaker. For everyone to
hear the discussion of the teacher.
6.Listen Ensures preparedness when the teacher ask
something.

ANALYZE

1. Analyze each given rule. What circumstances led to the formation of the rule?

-these rules are being formulated to ensure the organization of a class. Due also to the behavior of the students
that leads to chaos and the eagerness of the teacher to organize a discussion. In addition, these rules are formulated yo
monitor the development of a learner which eventually lead to reinforcement of positive behavior. Helps to maintain
order in the classroom. Helps to manage time effectively and run daily activities smoothly. In addition, for teachers it
will make you more focused on your discussion and spend less time in giving instructions.

2. Are classroom rules really important?

-yes it is. As an ordinary person, rules are necessary to consider. I believe that it will lead to our own
development. Rules are the backbone of life where it enables you to manage your plans as well as your class effectively.
It will help you to maintain an order where negativity and chaos will not foster. As a future educator, classroom rules are
our key to handle students behavior. It will teach students how to act properly and know their limitations, as well as
improving their study habits. This is to build a classroom and discussion well-organized and orderly.
REFLECT
Reflect on the various classroom rules set by the Resource Teacher. Will you have the same rules? If not, what
rules are you going to employ? Explain your answer.

Some of the rules given by the resource teacher is good to adapt. But there are also some which does not bring
relevance to the discussion. But to implement it, I will use the same rules because I do believe that those rules which are
good to adapt are necessary in enhancing classroom instruction. It can prevent chaos and provides sustainable teaching
and learning process that benefits both teachers and learners. Maybe I can add some new rules that works in this time
of pandemic.

SHOW YOUR LEARNING ARTIFACTS

Take some snapshots of the classroom routines employed by the Resource Teacher which are worth
emulating. Tell something about the pictures.

These routines or rules are worth emulating not only within a discussion but also has an impact in their social behavior.
It is a factor in providing an organized classroom instruction that eventually creates a competent students with a
character. Considering this ensures the order as well as improving their study habits. This will help you as a teacher to
have a smooth flow of discussion because it lessen the time in instructing and giving directions. Students will be able to
act properly knowing the do’s and don’ts in learning space as well as in their social life.
