Server in Windows

CREATING
THE SERVER
1. Creating the server folder

Right click anywhere and go to New > Folder


You can name it anything. Here, I named it “My
Minecraft Sever”

STEP 1
Here’s how it’ll look like:

2. Downloading Paper

Visit papermc.io/downloads
Download whichever build is at the top (here, it was 568)

STEP 2
Then, put it in your server folder

STEP 2
3. Creating the start.bat

In your server folder, right click, then go to New > Text


Document

STEP 3
Rename that file to start.bat
Then, right click it and click Edit

STEP 3
Inside, type the following:

Replace the blue part with the name of the other file in
the folder
Replace the number in yellow if you want to change how
much RAM your server starts with

Now, save the file (File > Save) and close Notepad

4. Accepting the EULA

Double click start.bat and wait until you see something

Now, close the command prompt (the black window)

STEP 4
Open the eula.txt file that appeared
Change eula=false to eula=true

Save the file and close Notepad

STEP 4
5. Starting the server

Click the start.bat again and wait until you see something
like this:

Once you do, your server is running!

You can connect to it with the address
localhost:25565, like this:

INSTALLING
PLUGINS
1. Downloading and installing plugins

Go to the plugin’s spigot page


Click the Download Now button
Put the file you downloaded inside the plugins folder in
your server folder

2. OPing yourself

You may get a message saying “You don’t have


permission to perform this command”
To solve that, connect to the server in Minecraft and
then type op [your Minecraft username] in the
console. Press enter
