MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE PETITION FOR


REVIEW

RESPONDENT, by the undersigned counsel, and unto this


Honorable Office, most respectfully states that:

1. Respondent received a copy of the Subpoena of this Honorable


Office dated _____________ on ________________ and thus
given ten (10) days within which to file his Counter-Affidavit;

2. However, due to the pressures of equally urgent professional


work and prior commitments, the undersigned counsel was
not able to meet the said deadline.

3. As such, undersigned counsel is constrained to request for an


additional period of ten (10) days from today
within which to file his Counter-Affidavit. Moreover, this
additional time will also enable the undersigned to research
even more on applicable jurisprudences in the instant case and
review the case meticulously and interview available witnesses
to strengthen the defense of the respondent;

4. This Motion is not intended to delay the proceedings but solely


due to the foregoing reason.

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, premises considered, it is most respectfully
prayed of this Honorable Office to give due course to this motion by:

1. GRANTING respondent-appellant an additional period of ten


(10) days from today within which to submit his Counter-
Affidavit;

2. GRANTING other reliefs which may be just and equitable.
