Reflection About WRCC WEEK 4 - Winning Your Career Goals Through Workplace Behavior
Workplace Behavior
In reality, people have various views in society, in relationships, and even at work. Each
individual responds to external stimuli in their own unique way. Someone might be self-assured
in solving problems, coordinating work, and taking responsibility; while others would prefer to
remain behind closed doors and act in a more indirect manner. This means that there is no
accurate model of conduct because every approach to life is acceptable until it becomes natural
to a certain individual. Regardless of this attitude, everyone gets nervous in some situations. The
first day in new employment is one of the most common situations in which even the most
confident individuals may feel like a fish out of water.
In this lesson, I realize that workplace behavior is a crucial thing that we need to apply in
a real-life situation so that we can achieve our career goals in the near future. An example of this
is the outstanding employees who do not rely just on their educational credentials, job position,
or awards. They are receptive to new ideas regardless of who introduces them. They express
their own ideas rather than the conventional wisdom they've been taught by others excellent.
This indicates that this kind of employee is proactive, a terrific leader, dependable, industrious,
and trustworthy which is considered one of the assets of an organization. Additionally, learning
is a concept that has grown over time, and it does not end with a degree or when you find a
decent job. In short, it is an ongoing process in our life. So, therefore, to keep up with the
innovations of today's world, we must constantly refresh our skills and knowledge. Moreover,
since we all know that each member of a team values the contributions and ideas of the others,
mutual respect among employees is essential because it leads to better workplace solutions. I
also learn that when we are working in a company we can share our ideas and collaborate with
other people. In this way, we can all work on how we can improve and develop a new innovative
idea that will surely benefit the company.
In general, despite numerous routinized and rule-based operations, the workplace also
helps us to develop our characteristics and create a novel experience. In other words, these
experiences do not lead to learning in the form of modified beliefs, mental models, or knowledge
until they are reflected on. This need for reflection and reflective behavior is especially important
in work teams that both demand and benefit from the individuals' reflection skills.
Reflection about WRCC-WEEK-5-Making-Good-Personality-Impression-
Last
In a work industry when you meet for the first time, it just takes a fast glance, maybe
three seconds, for someone to judge you. In this brief period, the other person forms an opinion
about you based on your appearance, body language, temperament, mannerisms, and clothing.
You are evaluated with each new meeting, and another person's impression of you is developed.
These first impressions are typically difficult to alter or undo, and they frequently set the tone for
the relationship that follows.
As previously stated, people will form opinions about you based on your looks, tone of
voice, and what you say to them. With this in mind, there are a few basic actions you can take to
guarantee that your initial impression is the best. For example, resume, this is very important in
work industry because with a piece of paper it can already reflect your personality at first glance.
Another thing is you attire, whether it's an interview, a blind date, or a business meeting, make
sure you put your best foot forward, think about it, and dress appropriately for the occasion.
Furthermore, be polite to other co-workers especially your boss no matter what: There's no
excuse to be disrespectful to someone, even if they don't treat you with the same courtesy. In
other words, inspire others by becoming the best version of yourself. You can always tell your
truth compassionately. Additionally, be genuine, whether it's a formal handshake or a relaxing
hug because being genuine and establishing a nice, positive first impression will make a lasting
impact. Lastly, always I learn that we as a worker always maintain our tone. It's critical to be
able to read a scenario and adjust your tone of voice and vocabulary accordingly. All in all, we
should make the most of your experience, intuition, and common sense to present your best self
for the occasion.
Overall, it's nearly impossible to make everyone you meet like you; it's just a fact of life.
Sometimes we're just too different and don't get along and that's okay. However, it will make all
the difference if you present your best self to make a good first impression, which can create
opportunities, new connections, and open many doors for you. Not only may you make new
acquaintances and expand your network, but you may also be presented with a fantastic
opportunity as a result, such as a business idea, a job offer, or the possibility to meet with them
again. In business, establishing a good first impression can help you close a deal or gain a new
client.
