Course Description
This course explores the fundamental principles, processes and practices anchored on learner-
centeredness and other educational psychologies as these apply to facilitate various teaching-learning delivery
modes to enhance learning.

Course Learning Outcomes Required Output

1. Describe the nature and elements of Lesson Plans


learner-centered teaching approach; Research Reports
2. Expound the different theories of teaching; Written Tests and Exams
3. Illustrate the teaching-learning process in
various teaching methods in a lesson plan;
and,
4. Prepare and utilize instructional materials.

Course Policies Grading System


1. Students must conscientiously observe
prompt and regular attendance in all class Class Standing 60%
sessions. - Written tests (30%)
2. A student will be automatically dropped from - Performance-based Activity (30%)
the subject and given a grade of 5.0 when Major Examination 40%
he/she has been absent for more than 20% TOTAL 100%
of the required number of hours.
3. Students must pass all the quizzes, tests
and major examinations.
4. A special examination may be given only for
meritorious cases like illness/hospitalization
supported by medical certificate or fortuitous
events like typhoons, earthquakes, fires, or
deaths in the immediate family. A written
request has to be submitted and approved
by the Dean before such special
examination be given.
