5. Adrift / a la deriva: with no course and without able to maneuver the ship.
6. Aground / encallado: resting om the shpre or wedged against the sea floor.
7. Ahull / palo seco: method of wearing a storm, executed by dowing all sails, battening
the hatches and locking the tiller to leeward (sotavento) so the boat tries to point to
windward (barlovento).
