June 6 – 10, 2011
The week of June 6, 2011, has been designated as Spring Clean Up Week in the Borough of Narberth.
During this week, the Borough labor force will collect items that are not normally removed by the
Borough’s trash and garbage contractor. These materials are to be placed curbside and will be collected
on the day of the week as listed below. Due to the stipulations of PA Act 101, the following restrictions
will apply. If you have any questions or problems, kindly contact the Borough office at 610-664-1080.
Building materials, such as wood, plaster and concrete, will not be collected.
Hazardous waste, such as paint cans and pesticide containers, will not be collected.
The Waste System Authority of Montgomery County sponsors drop sites throughout the year.

Lawn & garden waste will not be collected. The Borough does collect these items on
the 2 and 4th Tuesday of each month. Arrangements for this pick up must be made by

contacting the Borough office. Grass clippings may be placed in the normal trash collection.
Leaves will be collected in the fall.
Appliances, such as air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers,
will not be collected as part of this free pick up. Arrangements for this disposal can be
made for a nominal charge by contacting the Borough office.
Rugs will be collected but they must be cut into 4 foot lengths, rolled and tied with
string.
Metals will be collected but they must be separated from all other trash.
