It is believed by some people that children should be taken to school at a very early age while

others argue that young children should be allowed play more. In this essay, I will compare
these two views and give the reasons why I support the latter view.

On the one hand, it would be understandable that why there are some who lean towards
formal education for children. In fact, people today have been busy than ever before . This
means that parents rarely spend time on taking care of their children as well as educating them.
Therefore, sending children to school at the early stage of life would be an appropriate
decision for many parents. However, this thinking is flawed because at the very early stage of
life , children’s brains do not develop fully. Thus it would be hard for them to begin their
intensive study program at school where they have to study many subjects such as math or
literature. Furthermore, when going to school, young children may be influenced by peer or
score pressure which negatively affect their mental health.

On the other hand, I am convinced that young children should spend most of their time playing
during their formative years. Instead of learning a great deal of knowledge that children do not
like at school, by experiencing many playing activities both indoor and outdoor , children can ,
explore and learning many things or figure out something appropriate for themselves or they
are good at, which would be a direction for their future career. For example, when children love
playing bricks, they would not only learn how to practice their patience but also explore the
structure of constructions through small samples , which would be beneficial for them if they
want to become an architecture.

In conclusion, from my perspectives, young children should spend more time for playing.
