In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Heavenly Father, We thank You for the opportunity to begin this day.
We ask that You bless the learners and the teachers that make our school a great
place. We pray that You will guide us in all ways, so that we will seek Your will in
everything that we do. We ask this in the name of Jesus, your Son, our Lord.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Recreational physical activities or “recreational activities”, are less structured and less planned than
exercise. Leisure-time physical activities usually involve a great deal of time.
What sets these activities apart from traditional exercise routines is that they intrinsically
motivated and are enjoyable.

Nature and Background of
Outdoor Recreation
Outdoor recreation is any activity that is pursued outdoors during
leisure-time.
It can be defined further as any physical activity that contributes to
achieving the recommended amounts each day.
This ranges from simple activities such as jogging, in the park with our
family, to the more extreme such as mountain biking, caving or camping
overnight in the mountains.
The outdoors provides us with a whole new range of activities present for

What is Outdoor Recreation?
It is an organized activities done during one’s free time for his/her free
own personal reasons, where an interaction between man and an element
of nature is present.
Clayne R. Jensen (2006) said that they can be divided into three parts:
existence time, subsistence time and free time.
Existence time- is the time spent for biological needs like having a meal,
sleeping and other personal care.
Subsistence time- refers to the hours spent for economic purposes such as
going to work, chores, and for students’ hours spent in school and school work.

Benefits of Outdoor Recreation
Therefore, it is important to learn how our actions affect the environment.
Participation in outdoor recreation activities means we must learn how to
do our part in being good stewards of the environment.
Fun and pleasure are perhaps the immediate answers of the majority who
have experienced outdoor activities.
Studies have shown that being close to natural environment is HEALTHY.
Aside from the fresh air and the amazing sight of nature, the outdoors has
positive effects on the general wellness of an individual most especially if it
is done with regularity.

that it can avoid large fires. Must prefer to do not have fire so
that it cannot cause danger If necessary, use sticks to have it
which easy to you for having it. And, after it,scatter ashes
then drop it with water and make sure that it has no fire left.
When there have some animals that you see, do not approach

Respect another visitor in the place and treat them well. You are
not the owner of the mountain you are just visitor who behave
properly. Do not bring loud speakers because it can affect them.
Be considerate with others, just be with them. Talk to them as you
can communicate with them. And be contented of what you have.
It has been established earlier that outdoor is an interaction between man and nature.
The interaction should come with care and respect. It is important that in using and enjoying what
nature offers, an equal responsibility in conserving and preserving it must be consciously
employed by the people.
