During the 1-hour discussion, the children will be able to:
a. recognize and name the shapes of the different objects. Including the “Shape
Song”
b. draw different shapes;
c. identify shapes they see in their surroundings

But before we start our lesson, I want to let

need to follow during our lesson today.

observe them on how they behave.

2. Follow directions quickly and correctly.

4. Raise your hand if you want to answer, or

Now let us have another activity!

The name of this activity is “Match the


Shape”, I will be going to group you into
two. One student will be given the different
pictures of objects that you can see in your
surroundings and the other student will be
given the chart of different shapes.

You seatmate will be your partner and you


will work together. You will match the
pictures of objects into the chart of shapes.
You will paste it on the blank spaces
corresponds the shape.

You have 8 minutes to do the activity.

You will paste your answers on the board


once I say so.

Now let’s talk first the four basic shapes.

Square, Circle, Triangle, and Rectangle


Square – it has four equal sides and four
corners.

We have here different pictures that


correspond to square shape.

Circle – it has no sides. It goes round and


round.

We have here different pictures that


correspond to circle shape.

Triangle – it has three sides and three


corners.
We have here different pictures that
correspond to triangle shape.

Rectangle – it has four sides and four


corners. Two long sides and two short sides.

We have here different pictures that


correspond to rectangle shape.

2. Application

Because you do not have any questions let us


have another activity to sharpen our
understanding for today’s lesson.

We will play “What Shape am I?”

I will show a picture and you will tell me if


its Square, Circle, Triangle, or Rectangle.

another activity that will energize you.

Here in our classroom, you will see a lot of


objects that has different shapes. We will
play “Find the Shape”, when I say Find the
shape circle, you will look for a circle shape
object and hold it.

3. Valuing
After our discussion and several activities, is

Direction: Cut each shape on the left and copy the animals you see on the right side.

Direction: In a long bond paper, draw the shapes that is present in your home.
