This section introduces the functions newly added in basic functions of the
UNM2000 V2R7.
Procedure
1. Select Resource→Ne Maintain Information from the main menu to open the
Query Ne Maintain Information dialog box.
2. Select the desired NE and click Show to open the Ne Maintain Information
dialog box.
4. (Optional) Right-click the desired NE and select Attribute from the shortcut
menu. In the Ne Maintain Information section of the NE attribute pane, click
View to view the NE maintenance information.

The UNM2000 supports collecting statistics of the ONU weak optical power based
on the entire network, a specified area or a specified NE. This helps users analyze
the reason for weak optical power generation.
Function Description
u Supports setting the ONU weak optical power threshold and parameters related
to optical power statistics.
u Supports collecting statistics of PON ports with optical modules only or ONUs
with weak optical power only.
u Supports collecting statistics of the ONU weak optical power based on the
entire network, a specified area or a specified NE.
u The Rx and Tx capability varies with optical module sub-type. The UNM2000
supports collecting statistics of optical module types and optical module sub-
types to help analyze the reason for weak optical power generation.
Procedure
1. Set parameters related to optical power statistics / the ONU weak optical power
threshold.
3) In the right pane, set parameters related to optical power statistics and the
ONU weak optical power threshold, and click OK.

You can customize the name of the exported configuration file using the network
management tool.
The UNM2000 automatically synchronizes the data of the newly added OLTs with
the resource statistics export task when collecting statistics of all the objects in the
logical domain. This requires fewer manual operations.

Procedure
2. Select a submenu option under Export Statistics in the left operational tree,
and click Create in the right pane.
3. Set parameters related to the resource statistics export task. If All Ne of Logic
Domain Statistic (New ne will add to task automatically) is selected on the
Object source tab, the newly added NEs in the corresponding logical domain
will be automatically added into the resource statistics task.
The UNM2000 supports deleting NEs in a batch manner. You can select multiple
NEs in a batch manner to be deleted.

Function Description
u Only users with Operator Group authority or higher can delete NEs in a batch
manner.
u If you delete NEs, the alarms, performance and configuration data related to
these NEs can also be deleted.
u If you delete NEs, all the cards, ports, connected ONUs and their related
alarms, performance and configuration data can also be deleted.
Procedure
2. In the Select NE dialog box, select the desired NEs and click OK.
3. In the warning dialog box that appears, click Yes to delete all the selected NEs
and their connected ONUs.

3. Select the left pane on the tab and click the Add button on the toolbar. In the
Add new Data dialog box that appears, set the rows to be added and click OK.
4. After setting the global configuration name, select the right pane on the tab and
click the Add button on the toolbar. In the Add new Data dialog box that
appears, set the related parameters and click OK.

6. Set the ONU type and the corresponding file name, and click OK.
7. After clicking the Save to Database button on the toolbar, click the Save
Configuration to Device button.
The UNM2000 supports modifying logical domains, NEs, card ports and ONU
names in a batch manner. This improves the users' operation and maintenance
efficiency.
Function Description
u The UNM2000 optimizes the original Batch Modify NE Names function and
provides the Batch Modify Object Names function. Specifically, you can
modify names of logical domains, NEs, card ports and ONUs in a batch
manner.
u The original Modify ONU Names by Importing the Excel File function is
removed.

Procedure
2. In the left object tree, select the desired object type and click Query in the right
pane to open the Set Object Query Condition dialog box.
4. In the Modify Name column of the queried result, enter the planned object
names or modify the object names by exporting / importing the Excel file. And
click Save.
The UNM2000 supports displaying the threshold-crossing value upon the alarm
occurrence in the additional information of the alarm after the alarm is cleared.

When a single PON port is connected to too many ONUs, the working condition of
the device is unstable. This makes the network quality become worse. The
UNM2000 supports setting the maximum number of ONUs connected to the PON
port. The default value is 64.
Procedure
3. Click Create to open the Create the number of ONU settings under the PON
port dialog box.
4. Configure the maximum number of the ONUs connected to the PON port and
click OK.
You can set different maximum numbers of the ONUs according to different
restriction types such as "Global" and "PON Port Type". The minimum value of
the overlapped settings takes effect.
The UNM2000 optimizes the resource statistics function, which meets the operation
and maintenance requirements of the project.

u The statistical item OLT On-line Status is added to the NE resource statistics /
NE resource statistics export function.
Note:
The statistical item OLT On-line Status is already added into the default
template NE Information List. You can also customize other templates
for collecting statistics of OLT On-line Status.
u A new statistical item Pon Running Status, that is, whether to enable or
disable the PON port, is added to the port resource statistics / port resource
statistics export function.
Note:
The statistical item Pon Running Status is already added into the default
template Port Information List. You can also customize other templates
for collecting statistics of Pon Running Status.
u Some statistical items related to the port rate (as shown in the figure below) are
added to the ONU port resource statistics / ONU port resource statistics export
function.
Note:
The default template does not include statistical items related to the port
rate. You need to create a new statistics template by customizing
statistical items.

The UNM2000 supports querying the list of ONUs that access the network. The

Function Description
A switch is provided for this function. Ensure that the function of checking the online
ONU list is enabled.

1. Select System→Policy Task Management from the main menu to open the
Policy Task Management tab.
4. After the task is executed, you can view the exported checking data in the
preset export directory.
The UNM2000 optimizes the display of the NMS users in ascending / descending
order by characters, as shown in the figure below.

The user lists displayed on the UNM2000 in other places are also
displayed in ascending / descending order by characters.

The UNM2000 adds the hand-in-hand topology management function and supports
configuring hand-in-hand protections. This helps users view the topology structure
of the devices with hand-in-hand protection and view the alarm information in real
time.

u Only the ONUs under different PON ports can be configured with hand-in-hand
protections and the PON port types (such as EPON and10G EPON) must be
the same.
u The models of the ONUs that support hand-in-hand topology management are

2) Click the Create button. In the Create Hand-in-hand Topo dialog box that
appears, set parameters such as Topo Name, UpStream PON1 and
UpStream PON2.

u UpStream PON1 and UpStream PON2 are different PON ports for
adding the hand-in-hand topology. And they are of the same type
(EPON ports or 10G EPON ports).
u The PON ports which are already configured for the hand-in-hand
topology are not displayed in the Select PON dialog box.

appears, select the desired ONU(s) and click OK.

u The FTP creates a Policy_TASK file folder based on the directory. In this file
folder, multiple task sub-directories are created to store different types of policy
task export files.

u The UNM2000 optimizes the FTP file import function. It supports automatically
identifying the files under the FTP file folders. When the file name exceeds 20
characters, the system automatically changes the name for uploading, without
human intervention.
u The storage authority to perform the directory-based FTP file management can
be assigned to or removed from the user.

The UNM2000 optimizes the original ONU Port Enable Rule Task function. It
supports scheduled service shutdown of home gateway units (HGUs), ONUs from

submenus can be customized.

The UNM2000 supports the whitelist based on ONU SNs, which means only the
ONUs in the whitelist can be authorized to register online and those not in the
whitelist cannot register online. In this way, the illegal ONUs can be shielded.

The UNM2000 supports managing user port attributes in a batch manner. This
enables clients to manage port resources conveniently.

identifier, port label and service remark.
