1.1 Version Introduction

The new features added in the UNM2000 V2R7 are as follows:

u The UNM2000, PAS and PON traffic tool fully support IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack
management.

u Optimizes the resource statistics function.

4 Supports collecting networkwide statistics of the ONU weak optical power,

enabling clients to maintain the ONU weak optical power conveniently.

4 Supports automatically synchronizing the data of the newly added OLTs

with the resource statistics export task. This requires fewer manual
operations.

4 Supports collecting statistics of and exporting PON port running status,

OLT online status and ONU port uplink / downlink rate configurations, etc.
This meets users' statistics requirements.

(AN5516 MSAN common platform devices and AN5220 devices).

statistics and analysis graphs simultaneously.

4 Supports collecting statistics of uplink / downlink CRC errors of OLT uplink

ports and PON ports; monitors and analyzes the CRC BER to help analyze
the failure reason of the PON network.

4 Supports collecting statistics of and analyzing the traffic load of the OLT
uplink ports and PON ports, providing basic data for the planning of the
uplink ports and user resources.

2.1 Basic Functions

This section introduces the functions newly added in basic functions of the
UNM2000 V2R7.

2.1.1 Supporting Setting NE Maintenance Information

The UNM2000 supports configuring the contact information of the NE maintenance

personnel and NE location information to improve the operation and maintenance
efficiency.

Procedure

1. Select Resource→Ne Maintain Information from the main menu to open the
Query Ne Maintain Information dialog box.

2. Select the desired NE and click Show to open the Ne Maintain Information
dialog box.

3. Configure the NE location and maintenance personnel information and click

OK.

4. (Optional) Right-click the desired NE and select Attribute from the shortcut
menu. In the Ne Maintain Information section of the NE attribute pane, click
View to view the NE maintenance information.

2.1.2 Supporting Networkwide Statistics of the ONU Weak

Optical Power

The UNM2000 supports collecting statistics of the ONU weak optical power based
on the entire network, a specified area or a specified NE. This helps users analyze
the reason for weak optical power generation.

Function Description

u Supports setting the ONU weak optical power threshold and parameters related
to optical power statistics.

u Supports collecting statistics of PON ports with optical modules only or ONUs
with weak optical power only.

u Supports collecting statistics of the ONU weak optical power based on the
entire network, a specified area or a specified NE.

u The Rx and Tx capability varies with optical module sub-type. The UNM2000
supports collecting statistics of optical module types and optical module sub-
types to help analyze the reason for weak optical power generation.

Procedure

1. Set parameters related to optical power statistics / the ONU weak optical power
threshold.

1) Select System→Parameter Settings from the main menu to open the

Parameter Settings dialog box.

2) Select Resource Statistics Settings→Optical Power Statistics/ONU

Low Light Threshold from the left operational tree.

3) In the right pane, set parameters related to optical power statistics and the
ONU weak optical power threshold, and click OK.

2. Collect statistics of the ONU weak optical power information.

1) Select Resource→Resource Statistics from the main menu to display

the Resource Statistics tab.

2) Select Resource Statistics→Other Type Statistics→Optic Power

Statistics.

3) Select ONU Low Light Information as statistics template and click

Statistics Range.

4) Select the desired object in the Select Object dialog box, and click OK.

3. Collect statistics of and export the ONU weak optical power.

1) Select Resource→Resource Statistics from the main menu to display

the Resource Statistics tab.

2) Select Resource Statistics→Statistics Export of Other Types→Optic

Power Statistics Export.

3) Click Create to open the Create Optic Power Statistics Export dialog
box.

4) Set Basic information, Object source and Extend information for the
optical power statistics export task. Ensure that ONU Low Light
Information is selected as the statistics template on the Extend
information tab.

5) After completing the settings, click OK.

2.1.3 Supporting Customizing the Name of the Exported

Configuration File

You can customize the name of the exported configuration file using the network
management tool.

2.1.4 Supporting Automatically Synchronizing the Data of

the Newly Added OLTs with the Resource Statistics
Task

The UNM2000 automatically synchronizes the data of the newly added OLTs with
the resource statistics export task when collecting statistics of all the objects in the
logical domain. This requires fewer manual operations.

Procedure

1. Select Resource→Resource Statistics from the main menu.

2. Select a submenu option under Export Statistics in the left operational tree,
and click Create in the right pane.

3. Set parameters related to the resource statistics export task. If All Ne of Logic
Domain Statistic (New ne will add to task automatically) is selected on the
Object source tab, the newly added NEs in the corresponding logical domain
will be automatically added into the resource statistics task.

2.1.5 Supporting Deleting NEs in a Batch Manner

The UNM2000 supports deleting NEs in a batch manner. You can select multiple
NEs in a batch manner to be deleted.

Function Description

u Only users with Operator Group authority or higher can delete NEs in a batch
manner.

u If you delete NEs, the alarms, performance and configuration data related to
these NEs can also be deleted.

u If you delete NEs, all the cards, ports, connected ONUs and their related
alarms, performance and configuration data can also be deleted.

Procedure

1. Select Resource→Batch Delete Ne from the main menu.

2. In the Select NE dialog box, select the desired NEs and click OK.

3. In the warning dialog box that appears, click Yes to delete all the selected NEs
and their connected ONUs.

2.1.6 Supporting Upgrading ONUs in a Batch Manner

The UNM2000 supports automatic upgrade of ONUs in a batch manner. This

improves the upgrade efficiency.

Procedure

1. Select Configure→Global Template Manager from the main menu to open

the Global Template Manager tab.

2. In the left pane, select Device Type→AN5516/AN6000/AN6001→Global

Config→Onu Card Config→ONU Auto Upgrade(V4) to open the AN5516/
AN6000/AN6001:ONU Auto Upgrade(V4) tab.

3. Select the left pane on the tab and click the Add button on the toolbar. In the
Add new Data dialog box that appears, set the rows to be added and click OK.

4. After setting the global configuration name, select the right pane on the tab and
click the Add button on the toolbar. In the Add new Data dialog box that
appears, set the related parameters and click OK.

5. Double-click the ONU Configuration column of the corresponding line card

type to open the ONU Information dialog box.

6. Set the ONU type and the corresponding file name, and click OK.

7. After clicking the Save to Database button on the toolbar, click the Save
Configuration to Device button.

2.1.7 Supporting Modifying Object Names in a Batch

Manner

The UNM2000 supports modifying logical domains, NEs, card ports and ONU
names in a batch manner. This improves the users' operation and maintenance
efficiency.

Function Description

u The UNM2000 optimizes the original Batch Modify NE Names function and
provides the Batch Modify Object Names function. Specifically, you can
modify names of logical domains, NEs, card ports and ONUs in a batch
manner.

u The original Modify ONU Names by Importing the Excel File function is
removed.

Procedure

1. Select Resource→Batch Modifying Object Names from the main menu to

open the Batch Modifying Object Names tab.

2. In the left object tree, select the desired object type and click Query in the right
pane to open the Set Object Query Condition dialog box.

3. Select a desired object and click OK.

4. In the Modify Name column of the queried result, enter the planned object
names or modify the object names by exporting / importing the Excel file. And
click Save.

2.1.8 Supporting Displaying the Threshold-Crossing Value

Upon the Alarm Occurrence After the Alarm is Cleared

The UNM2000 supports displaying the threshold-crossing value upon the alarm
occurrence in the additional information of the alarm after the alarm is cleared.

2.1.9 Supporting Setting the Maximum Number of ONUs

Connected to the PON Port

When a single PON port is connected to too many ONUs, the working condition of
the device is unstable. This makes the network quality become worse. The
UNM2000 supports setting the maximum number of ONUs connected to the PON
port. The default value is 64.

Procedure

1. Select System→Parameter Settings from the main menu to open the

Parameter Settings dialog box.

2. In the left operational tree, select Service Configuration→Limit the number

of ONU under the PON port to open the Limit the number of ONU under the
PON port pane.

3. Click Create to open the Create the number of ONU settings under the PON
port dialog box.

2.1.11 Supporting Checking Online ONU List

The UNM2000 supports querying the list of ONUs that access the network. The
information of the redundant and missing ONUs on the UNM2000 (compared to the
physical ONUs) can be exported. The ONUs that exist on the device but do not exist
on the UNM2000 can be screened out. Yon need to deauthorize these ONUs first
and then launch a new network access process. The improves the fault handling
efficiency.

Function Description

A switch is provided for this function. Ensure that the function of checking the online
ONU list is enabled.

order by characters, as shown in the figure below.

The UNM2000 adds the hand-in-hand topology management function and supports
configuring hand-in-hand protections. This helps users view the topology structure
of the devices with hand-in-hand protection and view the alarm information in real
time.

u Users with Security Administrator Group authority or higher can perform

hand-in-hand topology management.

u The hand-in-hand topology management includes operations such as creating,

modifying, deleting and viewing.

u Only the ONUs under different PON ports can be configured with hand-in-hand

u The UNM2000 optimizes the FTP file import function. It supports automatically
identifying the files under the FTP file folders. When the file name exceeds 20

u The storage authority to perform the directory-based FTP file management can
be assigned to or removed from the user.

The UNM2000 optimizes the original ONU Port Enable Rule Task function. It
supports scheduled service shutdown of home gateway units (HGUs), ONUs from
different vendors and intelligent gateway ONUs to meet the scheduled network
shutdown requirements.

common operations such as deauthorizing ONUs, replacing ONUs, and activating /
deactivating ONUs.

The shortcut menu of the ONU list is optimized in the following aspects.

u The access for Service Fulfillment (Common) functions is added, and their
submenus can be customized.

u The less frequently used functions can be included in submenus, simplifying

the shortcut menu.

Dual Stack (Default)

Function Description

The IPSTACKMODE field is added to the SET-WANSERVICE command. You can

configure the protocol stack type using this field.

Whether IPSTACKMODE uses the default value can be determined by the switch
(enable or disable) of the SET-WANSERVICE command. The switch name is
IPStackMode and resides in the UNM2000\server\etc\nbi\interface.ini
configuration file.

Function Description

The CVLANMODE field is added into the CFG-DSLPORTVLAN command. You can
configure the transparent transmission and multicast modes.

The CVLANMODE field is controlled by Oman-customized function switch. The

switch name is SubscriberNoFlag and resides in the UNM2000\server\etc\nbi
\interface.ini configuration file.

u Set SubscriberNoFlag=1 in the configuration file, and the CVLANMODE field

will take effect.

u As the License function is upgraded, you need to obtain the new machine code
after the UNM2000 upgrade. You can apply the License that supports the new

u After the UNM2000 integrates the PAS, you need to start the UNM2000 and
PAS services separately.

u The MySQL database needs to be upgraded to the version 5.7.18. The

UNM2000 and PAS databases are independently managed. For specified
installation procedures, see Installation Guide.

u Tomcat9 will be installed automatically during the UNM2000 installation. If

Tomcat6 has been installed on the computer, you should uninstall it manually,
