The Child Feeding Questionnaire (CFQ) : An Instrument For Assessing Parental Control in Child Feeding

The Child Feeding Questionnaire (CFQ) is a 31-item instrument used to assess parental control and concern related to child feeding. It contains questions about parental responsibility for feeding decisions, perceptions of child weight, concern about child weight and eating, and restrictive and pressuring feeding practices. Parents indicate their level of agreement with statements about controlling child eating and monitoring food intake on 5-point scales. The CFQ was developed by researchers at Pennsylvania State University to evaluate how parents approach the task of feeding their children.
