Activity 1: On the space provided, write for at least 200 words your view/s in
security profession and how it contributes to the security system in the
Philippines.
The security profession is all about your ability to protect property, assets, and
people. Security has a role to play in preventing a crime from happening by
proactively watching for suspicious behavior, mitigating risks as they appear,
and contacting the proper authorities when an incident occurs. In my view,
security is good as a profession because you are responsible for initiating what
is right and wrong, and, of course, as a security measure, it has great help in
building a nation. Security serves as a model for controlling violations,
maintaining discipline in the workplace, and ensuring rules and regulations are
being followed. They can take disciplinary action against violators and
individuals misbehaving. Security is also responsible for supervising their
responsibility to obtain an objective. Security has a contribution to our country
because they are responsible for cooperating as an initiator to fulfill their
responsibility properly, like protecting businesses, schools, banks, and other
fields. Of course, security helps to minimize major crimes and other illegal acts.
In building a nation, too, security contributes to making sure things stay safe
and uneventful during day-to-day business and to keeping people and the
country safe. and to ensure people can live peacefully.

Activity 2: On the space provided, write for at least 200 words your views of
which among the three kind of assessment is more efficient on handling security
management.
I think all of them are more efficient because they are an important part of
security management. Threat Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment, and
Physical Security Surveys are crucial kinds of assessments with the purpose of
preventing violence and involve both assessment and intervention. These are
very effective in the fields of security and facilities. Threat assessment is
significant for guiding an individual to assess, manage, and determine the
credibility and seriousness of a potential threat, as well as the probability that
the threat will become a reality. Threat assessment is the practice of how you
are going to handle yourself and your responsibilities just in case an individual’s
threat occurs. A vulnerability assessment is a significant assessment in which to
identify, evaluate, and assess susceptibility to natural and technological
hazards. Through a vulnerability assessment, areas of weakness and potential
actions that would exploit those weaknesses are identified, and the
effectiveness of additional security measures is also assessed. Therefore,
vulnerability assessment is an important tool that is responsible for identifying,
evaluating, treating, and reporting potential impacts on facilities. However,
physical security surveys have an important role as an assessment; that is, to
update your security management on what needs protection. It is a complete
analysis of your facility's loss prevention program, physical security procedures,
and security protection of your personnel and property. This is not an
inspection, but also an analysis of your facility and planned security measures
that protect assets from threats and identify improvements when deemed
necessary.
Activity 3: On the space provided, write for at least 200 words your views about
the relevance of each type of security which is discuss above.
Security is important because it is concerned with safeguarding and expanding
people's vital freedoms. It requires both protecting people from critical and
pervasive threats and empowering them to take charge of their own lives. The
relevance Industrial Security is the term applied to business groups engaged in
industries like manufacturing, assembling, research development, processing,
warehousing, and even agriculture, and, of course, it is concerned with the
physical measures adopted to prevent unauthorized access to equipment,
facilities, materials, and documents, and to safeguard them against espionage,
sabotage, damage, and theft. The protection provided by various measures that
safeguard cash and assets in storage, transit, or during transactions is referred
to as the relevance of bank security. This is concerning bank operations. VIP
Security is used to protect top-ranking officials of the government or a private
entity, as well as visitors. In the situation when high-ranking officials are having
an appointment, they should have personnel security to protect themselves
from bad threats. Finally, the relevance of school security is concerned with the
protection of students, faculty members, and school properties. This has an
important role, especially for both private and public schools, to ensure the
campus' safety. They must maintain the safety and peacefulness of the school's
environment as violence at school could result in hindering the growth or
progress of the students and could also affect their personalities. Therefore,
each type of security has a contribution to make in building a nation.

Activity 4: On the space provided, write for at least 200 words your views about
the importance of knowing the historical background in regards of security
concept.
It is significant to know the historical background regarding the security
concept, to know what security means in terms of their role and responsibility,
and to know the important details of what happened before. By knowing the
importance of this historical background regarding this security concept, a way
of learning that will provide competency. The significance of knowing the
historical background of security concepts is to determine their other fields of
security, including role, responsibility, and their impact on society and how they
behave. This historical background gives us knowledge that might be used as a
profession in the future.

ASSESSMENT
1. Which among the fields of security do you observed is more important in
terms of security measures? Do it for 300 words and cite an example!
I observed that all of the fields of security are really important according
to their responsibility because they have a role to play in which field they
belong. IT fields, physical fields, political fields, and monetary fields are
the fields of security with different levels of responsibility according to
the field. Actually, the different fields should have security to ensure the
properties and people are safe and protected. Imagine if there was only
one security guard in the field. Just like in this example, in the physical
field of a shopping center, there is security to ensure everything is safe
and protected. But the question is, do other fields also have safety and
protection? It is important in every field to have security measures in
place, like security in Information Technology, to ensure privacy and
protect information and information systems from unauthorized access,
use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. Bad attempts by
individuals have not only happened in the physical world but also on the
internet, like hacking and scamming, so it should have security. In the
physical field, most bad attempts happen in this field, for example in
supermarkets like robberies, bomb detection, and customer relations. As
a result, security in this field necessitates measures that prevent or
discourage attackers from gaining access to a facility, resource, or
information stored on physical media. It can be as simple as a locked door
or as elaborate as multiple layers of armed guard posts. In the Political
field, security plays a vital role in the prevention of government
repression, systematic violations of human rights, and threats from
militarization. Last, the Monetary field should have security for the
protection of fungibles, banknotes, and negotiable instruments
representing financial value. All together, security in different fields or
security fields plays an important role in crime prevention and protecting
assets and people to let them live in a better place.
