For me it is very important to let you know the values and percentages
that have a great influence each year on the square meter of
construction in Ecuador.
For These values have a normal increase of
7% to 10% each year in the global reference
price per square meter of construction.
This rise in the price per square meter of
construction is influenced by the different
materials that can be used in the
construction of a building project, as well as
the raw material with which they are made,
whether they are tubes, metal products and
steel, cables, porcelain, wood.
Other issues that greatly affect the cost of
construction materials are imports and
exports, which also play an important role in
the world economy due to wars and
pandemics.
Given all these circumstances and scenarios, the cost of the price per
square meter of construction entering the year 2022 has had an
increase of 15% in reference to the materials to build and finish
homes and other typologies.
Architects, engineers, master builders, assistant masons, contractors,
auditors, construction supervisors, have been charging the same for a
few years now, and that is that none can raise their fees as
independent workers to provide a service due to the COMPETITION
factor.
It is important to say the fees that in this year 2022 the master
masons in Manta, together with the masonry officers or assistants,
are charging.
Master mason in charge of work $40 a day
Master mason $30 a day
Masonry Journeyman – helper $20 per day
Every week all the staff inside a construction site work 8 hours a day.
You can work from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and 1
hour for lunch at noon.
Master mason in charge of work $200 weekly
Master mason $150 weekly
Masonry Journeyman - Helper $100 weekly
You can work from Monday to Saturday half a day with a schedule
from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and 1 hour for lunch
at noon.
The prices that are detailed below are valued as a reference, based on
the experience in the development of some works that we have
executed and delivered, it is taken into account that the suppliers of
materials can provide and transport what we need at a distance of 80
kilometers around or the time of 1h30 minutes of travel by car or
truck.
BAMBOO - CAÑA GUADUA
Guadua or bamboo is a material widely used on the Ecuadorian coast
and east for many advantages in bioclimatic aspects and energy
savings.
The price per square meter to build with this material is $190 dollars
without special finishes, or varnishing, without curing the cane.
ENHANCED FINISHES
BAMBOO - CAÑA GUADUA
The guadua or bamboo is subjected to a curing and protection
treatment for greater resistance and durability. The cane is submerged
in special pools of BORAX boric acid.

The gray work represents 60% and 70% of the construction budget.

EXPOSED BRICK
The panelon or solid handcrafted brick is burned in large ovens for several
days until it turns red or orange. In matters of design, it is oriented
towards the combination of the modern industrial style and the natural
finish of the material.

HIGH RANGE
The construction of houses with FIRST LINE LUXURY FINISHES, HIGH
RANGE, either using vertical support metal structures such as columns
or reinforced concrete, as well as their mezzanine slabs.
Gypsum can be used in false lying with lighting design, home
automation, smart lights, shower cabin, safety glass walls, large
windows, staircase with stainless steel and glass railing.
