In India, refrigerators have the highest aspirational value of all consumer durables, with the
exception of televisions. This accounts for the high growth rate of the refrigerator market. The
broad range of our project include current Refrigerator increasing demand, new model design and
finishes. The current research project focus in the following application areas:
Background:
The refrigerator market has been growing at a rate of about 15% per year, while the consumer
durables industry as a whole has grown at almost 8%. The size of the refrigerator market is estimated
to be 3.5- 4 million units approximately, valued at Rs 50 billion. The domestic penetration rate of
refrigerators is about 9%. The penetration of refrigerators is considerably higher in urban areas,
which account for 75% of the demand, with rural areas constituting the other 25%. The demand is
also higher in the northern and western parts of the country than in the east. The south also has high
demand as the warmer weather of the south requires a refrigerator running throughout the year.

interest subsidy, tax reimbursement, and electrical duty exemption on white goods. This factor is
driving the demand for refrigerators. The make in India movement is pushing the supply of
refrigerators in the market. Freon is a refrigerant gas containing halocarbons used in air conditioning,
refrigeration, and dehumidification.
Halocarbons that contain chlorine are known as ozone-depleting substances. Increasing refrigeration
and air conditioning use are affecting the ozone layer and the absence of repairing facilities in rural
areas. These factors are restraining the market growth of refrigerators. Market trends and challenges
are analyzed and compiled in the report. The data of 2020 is considered for a better understanding of
the client. Moreover, Analytics of the market is based on real numbers of past years from 2016 to

-The Base and all case deformation patterns are same and there is a significant difference in angles.
-The Open part is not constrained by the gasket, so the opposite deformation occurs
17 | P a g e
Conclusion :
1. The maximum deformation of the base is about 3mm larger than the hinge
(about 2.3mm) in the open side.
2. Among the improvements, the mod 4 plan showed an improvement effect of about 17-8%
compared to the base, it was confirmed that there was a difference of about3% for each
thickness in same shape.
3. For improvement hinge and open side angle application to both, is the best.
