Agenda Item 1: Fair Work

Discussion

As previously identified, the key internal stakeholders that is the team members must agree to the new
CSR policy of fair work. Through this policy all the employees of Wesfarmers will be asked to adopt
different fair work practices and the senior management will be asked to do no work discriminations.
The different policies under fair work will involve appropriate channel for proper voice, like
recognition by the trade union. This will also include investment for development of workforce, and
not using zero contracts in an inappropriate manner. The practices under this policy will also involve
managing the gender pay gap and creating a diverse as well as inclusive workforce. Lastly payment
will be provided above the real living wedge.

Agenda Item 2: Removal of gender discrimination.

Discussion

This is again an internal aspect of the company. Hence the team members of Wesfarmers need to talk
with their superiors for the removal of any kind of gender discrimination within the work environment.
This can be done through building an appropriately divers workforce from inside out (Bilan, et al.,
2020). Secondly the companies should educate their male employees to eradicate gender barriers
within the workforce. Next, Wesfarmers should teach both its male and female employees about what
is not and what is Sexual Harassment. Further Networking initiatives should be established. After this
emphasis also needs to give on inclusion of the opposite gender. Another important practice that will be
focused on is to educate all employees about handling workplace romance. Lastly, the employees will
also be encouraged to eradicate all secrecy relating to workplace romances.

Agenda Item 3: Fair pay.

Discussion

Fair pay is an internal matter. However, the senior management and officers can only ensure fair pay if
the investment and shareholders analysts do proper analysis and invest accordingly. Once proper
investments are done, some measures can be taken for ensuring fair pay to all employees. Firstly,
regular checkup must be done to stay up to date with what the average rates for such roles are. Paying
the minimum living wage is vital for maintaining the fairness. Next, Wesfarmers should opt for
creating an unbiased reward system. Favoritism should not be encouraged, and top performers should
be effectively recognized (Li, 2021). After this it should be mentioned that bonuses should be paid fast,
and special reward should be allotted for teamwork. Lastly the company should also ensure that equal
opportunities are provided to all employees and regular competitions are being run.

Agenda Item 4: Removal of language discrimination.

Discussion

This is an internal aspect and the internal stakeholders of Wesfarmers that is the team members need to
talk with their superiors and set up different for the purpose of removing gender discrimination from
the workforce as this might affect the work of the employees. The company should make sure that no
employees joke on some key topics like religion, race, accent, language etc. Next derogatory language
such as insults regarding age, religion, sexuality or racial slurs should be banned at the workplace.
Lastly, skills and experience, gender, age, sexuality, religion or race. Secondly consequences should be
enforced if anyone tries to break these anti-discrimination laws (Gasparini, et al., 2021).
