**Wed, 6/8/11, @ 8:05am:
M/S students will report to their 3rd period class (breakfast will be brought to classrooms).
H/S will pick up their breakfast in the lunchroom & take it to their exam room.
Breakfast period ends @ 8:30am.
**Students must remain in the exam room the entire period.
**Students will not be allowed to check out during exam blocks.

REMINDER: No Bus Passes unless “true medical emergency.”


Per Transportation Department

**PARENTS: There have been an increased number of parents dropping off children in the bus
circle which is beside the cafeteria/behind the gym. This is a very dangerous since students are
unloading from buses. Please drop students off at their appropriate locations: elementary on
the west side of campus, middle/high on the east side. The School Resource Officers will be
monitoring this area. PLEASE HELP KEEP OUR STUDENTS SAFE!
**”Focus on Franklin’s Finest”: On the lower right side of the www.franklincountyschools.org web
site, there is a link for a page “Focus on Franklin’s Finest.” The purpose of this page is to share the
special things going on in our school & with our students - - - year round. If you have an outstanding
student, teacher, parent or event (school related or not) that you would like to share, send it along with
pictures, if possible, to [email protected] .
**LIBRARY BOOKS: All library books are to be returned by Today, June 8. If books are not returned,
notices
will be sent to parents requesting payment for replacement.
**REPORT CARDS: Elementary report cards will be sent home with students on Thurs, June 9.
M/S & H/S report cards may be picked up on or after June 16.
**SWAT Wants You! Franklin County SWAT is now having a Recruitment Blitz Campaign beginning
June 9th through June 30th. Yes, SWAT, will be mobilizing its recruitment campaign at Franklin Co. School,
Project Impact, ABC School, & in front of the Apalachicola Health Dept. at designated times that will be
advertised in the local paper. SWAT members are a group of students that are proactive, motivated &
dedicated to enlightening everyone in their sphere of
influence & region of the devastating effects that Tobacco has on our families, community, nation, & world.

**Father’s Day Raffle for a 4-Hour Fishing Charter off SGI & Weekend at Gibson Inn!
Tickets are $7.00 each or 2 for $10.00. Contact any Renovatio Student (Deborah & Jessica Dempsey, Jami
Giametta, Cheyenne Martin, Deanna Quick, Tiffani Schmidt, Chelsea Soderholm, Kiarra Tolliver, Adreenah
Wynn) or Dr. Lois Catlin for tickets. Drawing will be today, June 8 at the old AHS @ 6:00pm.
Fundraiser for the Youth Advisory Council/ Renovatio Youth Leadership Program.
**The Nest Summer Program will be a 7 week summer program @ FCS & the Carrabelle Municipal
Complex. The program will be open from June 13 to July 28, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
The summer program is free to all Franklin County students in grades PreK-12. Morning & afternoon bus
transportation is available to students living in Apalachicola & Eastpoint. Applications are available at the
Franklin County Learning Center, FCS, & Carrabelle Municipal Complex, and can be downloaded from the Nest’s

**Miss Florida Seafood: The 2011 Miss Florida Seafood will be selected by pageant or alternative
selection process this year on July 30th, depending on the number of contestants. Those eligible to
participate are upcoming Junior & Senior girls for the 2011-12 school year who are residents of Franklin,
Gulf, Wakulla, or Liberty counties, and aged 16-18 years old. Applications are in the FCS front office.
Entry Deadline: June 30, 2011. For more info, contact Jennifer Brown @ 653-6104.

GED Classes have moved back to Franklin County School!


Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays (except holidays) from 4:00pm-8:00pm in 1100 building.
To register, see Linda Bradley from 4:00-7:00pm on days above.
The next GED Test will be given June 20 & 21 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm.
To register for the test contact Linda Bradley during GED classes or Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
