The Special Leave Petition is dismissed

accordingly.

However, we direct the Trial Court to ensure that the

trial is concluded expeditiously considering the fact

that the petitioner is in custody since 27.09.2018.

We are informed that there are in all 53 witnesses,

out of which 51 remained to be examined.

Accordingly, we direct the Prosecution and

Investigating Officer to take up all steps to ensure that

the trial is disposed of expeditiously.

Copy of this order be forwarded to the Investigating

Officer as well as Directorate of Revenue Intelligence,

Indore, Madhya Pradesh who must monitor the progress of

the trial and submit compliance report before end of

December, 2021.

Needless to observe that the trial be decided on its

own merits and in accordance with law uninfluenced by any

of the observations made by the High Court in the

impugned order.

Pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
