Apple (AAPL) iOS

What is iOs?

 An acronym for iPhone Operating System, is a Unix-derived operating system


powering all of Apple’s mobile devices.
 Based on Mac OS, the operating system which runs Apple’s line of Mac desktop
and laptop computers, Apple iOS is designed for easy, seamless networking
between a range of Apple products.
 iOS features an intuitive user centered design and the ability for app
developers to create apps, distributed through the iOS app store.
 Understanding Apple iOS is the second most popular mobile operating system.
As June 2021, Apple iOS held a 26.3 percent share of the mobile phone
market, second only to Android which held a 73.3 percent market share.
 Apple’s iOS is a software that control all the basics of your gadget
including the look feels, setting and hardware like Mac OS X is also
based on darvey which is a kind of unix like operating system.
 In June 2007 iOS was announced in Apple Mac world exhibition later
the first version of the iOS was released in June in the same year at
that time the name of this system was iPhone OS X. 3 years later
apple corporation announced to change the name of the system to iOS
at WWDC conference in 2010.

 The system operating takes up about 240 megabytes of the memory space. It is
famous for its performance and stability since is advent the technology IOS
always stay ahead of the competition.
 IOS user interface supposed direct manipulation of multi that methods of
interaction with the system includes swiping, tapping, pinching and reverse
pinching. This designed makes iPhone easier to use there is a home bottom, at
the bottom of the screen and four icons of the most frequently used program
fixed above the home button.
 Different application can share the same information.
 The IOS uses central processing unit based on RM rather than the x86 processor
used in Apple’s computer.
Versions and It’s Distinct Timelines

 There are many versions of iOS over the years in the making, it’s started way
back 2007 up until now. Here’s some of its versions and some information.
 The iOS started 2007 with it’s name iPhone OS 1, it is the first major released
of iOS or iPhone operating system, no official name was given on its release.
There are 11 versions of them from 29 of June 2007 up to 15 of July 2008. Its
phones has 4 up to 16 GB of flash memory storage and 128mb RAM, and the
units sold is over 6.1 million.
 After the iPhone OS 1 the iPhone industry introduced another model called
iPhone OS 2, with a total of 10 versions started from 11 July 2008 up to 27 Jan
2009, and it’s the first iOS introduced by apple to support third party
applications through app store. Its phones has 320x480 pixels, 128mb ram
1220mAh battery.
 The third iPhone OS released was iPhone OS 3 with a total of 10 versions
started from 17 of June 2009 up to 11 of August 2010. It is the third and last
major versions of iPhone OS. It introduced a new feature to it’s phone. The
copy text and picture, a new MMS with it’s 3g and the new message
application.
 After the iPhone OS era. The iOS was introduced, with it’s new model iOS 4
with a codename “apex”. It has 18 versions starting from 21 of June 2010 up
to 25 of July 2011, it has a lot of features, including FaceTime,
multitasking(first iOS to do so), game center, imovies and so much more.
 The fifth iOS released was the iOS 5 with a codename “Telluride”, it has 7
versions, starting from 12 of October 2011 until 25 of may 2012. With this OS
it’s the initial released of the iPhone 4s and this was the first iOS version to
featured music and newsstand.
 The sixth iOS released was the iOS 6 with a codename of “sundance”, it has 20
versions starting from 19 of September 2012 until 21 of February 2014. The first
iOS to update Siri, and some new wallpapers and the only iOS to have a different
settings icon.
 The next iOS is the iOS 7, it has 12 version from 18 of September 2013 until 30 of
June 2014. It is the first iOS to feature flat design with a minimalistic apps and
simplified graphics, the first iOS to featured the control center and they
introduced new sounds and wallpapers.
 The iOS 8 is the eighth major release of the iOS mobile operating system ,
designed and distributed by Apple as the successor to iOS 7 and the predecessor to
iOS 9. It was announced at WWDC 2014 alongside watchOS 1 and OS X Yosemite. It
features new compatibilty with OS X 10.10 “Yosemite” such as enabling Macintosh
computers to intercept calls from your iPhone and be used to talk to the caller.
 iOS 9 is the ninth major release of the iOS mobile operating system developed
by Apple Inc., serving as the successor to iOS 8 and predecessor to iOS 10. It
was announced on June 8 th at the 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference,
alongside tvOS 9, watchOS 2 and OS X El Capitan. Released on September 16,
2015, iOS 9 focuses less on new features and more on under-the-hood
optimizations, as well as battery improvements. iOS 9 requires over 1 GB of
free space to be downloaded onto supported iPhone or iPad models.
 iOS 10 is the tenth major version of iOS that was announced on June 13 at the
2016 Worldwide Developers Conference, alongside tvOS 10, watchOS 3 and
macOS Sierra. It was released to thegeneral public on September 13, 2016,
following the launch of the iPhone 7. It is the successor of iOS 9 and the
predecessor to iOS 11. The OS features richer notifications, more accuracy on
Siri, and installing stickers and enlarging messages in iMessage.
 iOS 11 is the eleventh major release of iOS, developed and distributed by
Apple Inc. It was formally announced at the 2017 Worldwide Developers
Conference alongside tvOS 11, watchOS 4 and macOS High Sierra, where the
new features were showcased. iOS 11 was released on September 19, 2017,
alongside the iPhone 8, the 8 Plus and the iPhone X. ItB succeeded iOS 10 and
was followed by iOS 12.
 iOS 12 is the twelfth major release of iOS, being the successor to iOS 11 and
the predecessor to iOS 13. It was announced at WWDC 2018 on June 4
alongside tvOS 12, watchOS 5 and macOS Mojave, before being released to
the general public on September 17, 2018. It is aesthetically similar to iOS 11
but contains numerous performance and battery life improvements and
security updates.
 It was the last version to support iPads, which was spun off into iPadOS when
iOS 13 was released.
 iOS 13 is the thirteenth major release of iOS, being the successor to iOS 12
and the predecessor to iOS 14. It was announced at WWDC 2019 on June 3,
2019 alongside tvOS 13, watchOS 6, iPadOS and macOS Catalina, before being
released to the general public on September 19, 2019.
 iOS 14 is the fourteenth major release of iOS, succeeding iOS 13. It was
announced at WWDC 2020 on June 22, 2020, despite concerns that Apple’s
released.
 Apple and the Apple is a great example of a corporation making what the
consumer wants in a global market. With limited companies competing,
competition for the best phone on the market is at an all-time high . With the
iphone you get better quality and better security when dealing with your
personal information innovation and technological advancement have keep
the iphone and apple ahead of its competitors in this tight notch market . But
this product cost a lot than Androids.
