Welcome on board M.T. PACIFIC RAWAN, built on year 2017 @ Deahan Shipbuilding, Korea.
Vessel of 109,999 DWT Oil tanker is owned by SINOKOR SHIP MANAGEMENT.
Vessel is classed under KR+ABS,
Flag: Marshall Islands
Machinery space is under UMS class.

The trailing notes will be a brief summation focusing more on the present status and past
history deemed necessary of various machineries under charge.

MAIN ENGINE:
Make: HYUNDAI MAN B&W 6G60ME-C9.5 / MCR: 11150KW / 81.7 RPM,

Main Engine is operated at 65-74.3 RPM during normal sea steaming and at 60-65 RPM
during economical steaming. All parameters to be maintained as per the control parameters
displayed on the control stand / engine manual. All routines are carried out as per maker’s
manual and PMS. ME performance is Very Good.
Please refer to warranties bunker consumption in speed & fuel cons. Sheet of Noon
report excel file.

 Vessel has One Spare Cylinder Head (overhauled) with cooling jacket, One Cylinder
Liner (New), One spare Piston (overhauled) fitted with stuffing box.
 Two FO booster pumps are kept ready for use onboard. One is new and one is
overhauled.
 2 Air starting valves spares overhauled, kept on stand.
 M/E P max and P comp has to be taken every Wednesday and Sunday for PARIS.
Noon Report from Main Engine PMI Computer.
 Main Engine Performance taken every month preferably in laden condition.
 Residual BN & Iron test to be carried out every week and once a month to off land
for Lab analysis- same parameters to be updated on html file provided by Shell.
 Oil mist detector sensors were cleaned internally in month Apr 2022
 Scheduled of scavenge manifold and under piston cleaning carried out every month.
Last inspection/cleaned was done on Apr 2022.
 Cylinder lubrication setting is 1.2 g/Kwh by superintendent order.
 Alexia 40 (TBN 40) to be used both for LSMGO as well as VLSFO.
 Alexia 100 (TBN 100) to be used for flushing once every 5 days for 2 days. Sequential
use of TBN 40 for 5 days followed by TBN 100 for 2 days (and repeat)
 LDCL pump is STOP at MOP when using up to 0.50% sulfur" – and operate only when
using HSFO, Cylinder Jacket temp is maintained at 81°C. as per MAN ES
recommendation please refer to Service letter SL2019-671/JAP,
 Engine control console, 3 LCD ACONIS are fixed two in ECR and one in C/E day room
and password is “aconis”. New keyboard fitted on SVR#2
 Main Engine crankcase to be inspected every 500 hrs. & crank web deflection to be
taken every 3 months.
 All other routines as per month end running hours’ schedule.
 Intermediate shaft bearing oil to be replaced every 3 months.
 LO Backwash & Bypass Filter to be cleaned every 6 months.
 Hydraulic Backwash & Bypass Filter to be cleaned every 6 months.
 FO Backwash Filter to be cleaned every month or as & when required.
 6 monthly lube oil analysis reports last sent on May 2022 at Ulsan.
 3 monthly lube oil analysis report last sent on Feb 2022 at Singapore.

AUX ENGINE:
TYPE/MAKER:5H21/32 at 900RPM, HYUNDAI-HIMSEN, Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.

There are three generators on this vessel, with a rated capacity of 900 kW each. All are
capable of achieving demandable load. All three generators performance have been
satisfactory. Sea load varies from 500 to 600 KW and so one generator is sufficient at sea.
Presently we give load max 600 each. The sump oil to be renewed every 2000 hrs. running
hours.

 Year 2017 No.1 A/E has problem with main bearing, Shore technician boarded and
carried out major repairs for replacement of engine block and crank-shaft. For
complete details, please refer to service engineer report file.
 Alarms and safety cut outs are tested once in a month, working satisfactory.
 Performance to be taken monthly.
 Ballast pumps have interlock to prevent from starting, on one generator. Also these
motors have interlock bypass switch in the MSB.
 All filter routine is carried out before 250 hrs. running.
 2 spare cylinder heads are available for use.
 Running hour sheet is correctly maintained and various maintenance schedule can
be checked from that sheet.
 Make sure that the difference of all three generators running hours maintain to
1000hrs, so that easily can plan for major in future.

- All are in good running conditions. Filter routines carried out regularly.

Boilers

1. Aux. Boiler
Maker: KANGRIM Heavy Industries Co. Ltd
Type: Water Tube. Boiler steam production (oil fired): 25000 kg/hr.
Boiler working / design pressure: 16/18 bar

- There are 2 sets of Aux. boilers normally used to cargo discharging purpose. Burner and
filters routines are carried out after every discharging. It is also can be used to engine room
steam supply during cargo discharging. Spare for Newly supplied PILOT BURNER ASSEMBLY
is ready for emergency including spare electrodes & nozzles.
Furnace Cleaned - Both Aux. Boilers on 29 Oct 2021
No.1 Aux Boiler Swirler cleaned on 20 Aug 2021.
No.2 Aux. Boiler Swirler cleaned on 22 Feb 2021.

2. Composite Boiler
Maker: KANGRIM Heavy Industries Co. Ltd
Capacity: 1.5 x 0.39 ton/hr.
Working Pressure: 6 Bar

- Composite Boiler is used for normal steam service in engine room. Burner routine is
to be carried out regularly, M/E exhaust side and boiler furnace side cleaning is to be carried
out every month and furnace gas passage soot blew out weekly, before 1-day 4 piece of
soot breaker put in to the furnace and firing.
Exhaust gas Economizer Water Washed on 5 Feb 2022.

BOILERS JOBS DURING D/D


- All Boilers Valves Overhauled by Shipyard, inspected by ABS/KR and fitted back with
metallic gaskets
- All Boilers Water Side and Gas Side Washed by Shipyard.
- All Boilers Safety Valves Overhauled and Press Adjusted. Operational Tests performed
under ABS/KR.
- All Boilers Controls, 5 Yearly Serviced by Kangrim Heavy Industries.

Auxiliary machinery

1. Main air compressor


Make: DONGHWA – TANABE AIR COMPRESSOR
Model: H – Series, vertical water cooler 2 stage compressor

- There are 2 main air compressors. No. 1 MAC having supply from emergency
generator and is the emergency MAC. Valve routines are carried out regularly.
-No1 main air compressor MCCB contactor base got burned on 01-Dec-18. Vessel received
the spare on 5-Jul-19 and same were installed after taking all the safety measures.
Presently the compressor is in auto mode.
- No2 Main Air Compressor motor was replaced with new motor on 31-May-19. No2 MAC
motor got burned out on 25-May-19.
- No.1 Main Air Compressor motor full O/H (with new bearings) on 14 Oct 2022
- MAC Nr.2 Crankcase Inspection and Oil Renewed on 4 Feb 2022
- Normal maintenance is carried out as per PMS

2. Control Air Compressor


Maker: Donghwa Pneutec,
Model: Nexcomp compressor- NEX-15A
Password for changing setting is 0001
- Control air compressor is a screw type compressor. Working satisfactory.

4. Air cond. Plant


Maker: HI AIR KOREA CO., Ltd.
Password for changing setting is 8888

- Air Condition Plant is in good working condition.


- There are 2 AC compressors of multi stage. Both are isolated and can be run
independently, also both can be run together in parallel in case of extreme hot climate, also
we can run No.1 Comp with No.2 Evaporator & Vice versa if required.
- At present gas stock are, one full cylinder and one cylinder in use. Total abt. 84Kg.
- There is a sensor for A.H.U. in C/E’s cabin. The Compressor is started & stopped by
temperature of suction of A.H.U. or suction pressure as per set values.
- No.1 AC evaporator coil has slight leak due to which when No.1 AC is used with No.1
Evaporator we have slight loss of gas; we are running No.1 AC Compressor with No.2
Evaporator coil by isolating No.2 Compressor & changing over valves. Also note in extreme
hot climate at gulf this time we run both compressors in parallel for about 10 days & leak for
No.1 gas was not much. But it’s still better to use No.2 Evaporator when alone no.1 AC
Compressor is in use.
- There is one spare MOTOR for AHU unit in A/C room.

5. Prov. Ref. Plant


Maker: HI – AIR KOREA CO. LTD.

- Provision Ref. Plant is in good working condition. Temperature of the reefer room
maintaining well. Reefer room evaporator ice manually cleaned once in a month.
- Oil Renewed on 11 Jan 2021
- Dryer solid core filter renewed on 11 Jan 2021

6. Incinerator
Maker: Hyundai Marine Machinery Co., Ltd.
Type: MAXI NG100SL WS
Capacity of Incineration: Solid 100 Kg/hr Liquid 59 Kg/hr

Combustion chamber Refractory was Repaired During D/D by Zhoushan Sunray Marine
Services.
Draft Fan Overhauled by Shipyard.
Main burner and pilot burner are overhauled as required.
Presently incinerator is working in good order and engine room sludge burnt through
incinerator.
Both waste oil tank for incinerator was cleaned on Jan 2022.
8. Fresh Water Generator
Manufacturer: Donghwa ENTEC
Model: DX-α-25(S)

- Fresh Water Generator production capacity is 25 Ton per day. It is in good working
condition.
-Periodical Cleaning of Evaporator and Condenser based on performance observation

8. Sewage Treatment Unit


Manufacturer: IL Seung Co., Ltd.
Type(Model): ISS-43N

- Sewage Treatment Unit is vacuum type. It is well maintained and is flushed with
steam and fresh water every 15 days.
- Please keep checking the chlorine dosing tank regularly and also the amount of sea
water introduced for dilution purpose.
- Before arrival anchorage or port, should be changed overboard line to grey water
holding tank. After departure, return the line to overboard and discharge the grey water
after confirming from bridge the distance from nearest land should comply MARPOL
regulation. Weekly, clean Sterilization tank by sea water.
- Every 15 days, Sewage Treatment Plant flushing carried out with steam.
- When change overboard line to gray holding tank sewage overboard valve should be
locked.
-Vessel carried out cleaning of Sewage treatment plant on 24 June 2021, each
chamber individual drain pipe was checked and cleaned, checked the condition of the valve
as well. all the valves are holding tight and in good working condition.
- Sewage Plant Blower 2 motor was overhauled in November 19.

9. Oily Water Separator:

Manufacturer: Georim Engineering


Model: GRS-50EB

OCM was last calibrated on 22 Apr 22. Clean drain tank has separate OCM which was also
calibrated on 22 Apr 22 by annual shore calibration at Zhoushan, China.
New OCM PCB Card fitted same day 29 Oct 2020.

OCM back-up battery for OWS & CDT replaced last 24th May 2021 with new spare.
- Pre separator unit coalescer filter was renewed on 30 Aug 2021
- Bilge holding tank last cleaned internally on 26 Feb 2021, and last inspection 30 Aug 2021-
no trace of oil & found all satisfactory.
- Bilge wells cleaned on Jan 2022.
MARPOL is to be strictly complied. OWS overboard valve securing box has been fabricated
and is locked with two pad locks.

One pad lock key is kept by C/E & the other one by Master. Oil record book is to be correctly
filled up same being done by C/E only.

It is company policy to do operational test (recirculation) of OWS and OCM for every month,
to be recorded to ORB, to be scanned and send to office before the due date on PARIS.
Main Engine air cooler drain is going to Clean Drain tank, it is fitted with separate OCM,
when discharging CDT through OCM same to be recorded in Engine Logbook.

Clean Drain Tank last cleaned & Inspected: 14 May 2022.

Cargo and ballast system

1. COPT
This vessel is provided with COPT for cargo operation. It is in good working condition.
Presently, cargo pump mech seal rob is 1 SET for upper & lower side.
No 3 cargo pump was overhauled in previous tenure due to leaky mechanical seal, both top
and bottom seal were changed.
No.1 COP Upper Mechanical Seal, Ball-bearing renewed on 08 Jul 2021.
No.2 COP Upper & Lower Mechanical Seal, Ball-bearing, and mouth rings renewed on 13
Aug 2021. Please see Technician Service report file for further information.
Gear coupling changed oil on 23 Aug 2021

2. BWTS
Working satisfactory,
New USCG Up-Graded During D/D in April 2022.

Deck machinery and equipment

1. Windlass

All HPU’s Overhauled during D/D by Shipyard

- After renewal of oil seal from No1 windlass, New hydraulic motor was installed on 15 th
Feb 2019, also replaced needle bearing which is assembled in the gear box.
- Please refer to service engineer report.
Presently both windlasses are working in good order.

2. Mooring Winch
- Maker’s modified works were completed for our vessel fitted hydraulic machine on deck
as 6 sets of mooring winches.

3. Hose Handling Crane & prov. crane


- working satisfactory.
- Full Sets of Hyd. Hoses received at D/D.

4. Life boats & davits.


- Both the lifeboats battery renewed with new spares battery on 20 TH Aug 19
- Vessel davit remote control switch is having been delay time, so when using davit
winch you have to push the switch longer then for 4 second.
- Recently one of the fleet vessel had a fatal accident on the Life boat davits during dry-
docking in China. Shore staff had replaced the cabinets for both port and Stbd davits, which
houses the Life boat davit remote and its cable. Yard made the mistake while reconnecting
and they connected both the side power line to earth. Which resulted in hoisting of both
the davits if any one remote is being operated. While the shipyard was load testing Port side
life boat davit, Stbd side life boat davit automatically came up, causing serious injury to the
AB, chipping on the Stbd davit arm.
FYI, related this safety is going on in phases (pls go through the mails related to LOTO)

Electrical Equipment:

We are doing megger testing of all motors in 3 monthly cycle, electrical isolation permit has
to be completed before any job on Electrical Equipment. LOTO kit newly supplied at
Singapore 12 Aug 2021 – PIC MUST use whenever isolation is required.
Generally, in good condition.

1. H.F.O & M.G.O Bunkering


- FO Filling Valves Hydraulically Actuated! Last tests and adjustments in Aug 2021
- Bunker tank level can be monitored from CCR & ECR and also the inlet valve can be
operated from CCR panel it was operating by hydraulic valve therefore pay attention when
topping up.
- Pipe lines are in good condition and has been pressure tested on 16 May 2021
2. Lifting Gears
All lifting gears are to be maintained and recorded monthly in Lifting Gear Log.

5. Safety Routines
All safety routines are carried out every Saturday and recorded in safety record book
S9.15L. Emergency equipment are well maintained and are tried out every Saturday.
