Lunar eclipse
Lunar eclipses are one of the most common natural events, therefore it's not unexpected
that we see them frequently. A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon and the sun are in the same
location, obstructing the sun's rays that should reach the earth. For a period of time, the earth will
remain dark. Even so, an eclipse will not always occur due to the moon's and sun's positions.
What is the reason for this? The intersection of the moon's orbit and the ecliptic, known as a
node, is caused by the tilt of the moon's orbit and the ecliptic. When the moon is positioned with
a line cut, also known as a naked point, a fresh lunar eclipse will occur. The moon takes at least
29 to 30 days to go from one location to another
Lunar eclipses are not always visible since the moon is still visible in some
situations. This occurs because the sun's rays are still remaining, causing the rays to be bent
towards the moon by the atmosphere.
During a solar eclipse, the reflected light from the atmosphere is usually reddish in color,
giving the moon a dark red appearance. The lunar eclipse may be seen with the naked eye and
will cause no harm to us.
A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth's shadow completely or partially obscures the
moon's appearance. Especially if the earth is between the moon and the sun, preventing sunlight
from reaching the moon due to the earth's obstruction.
