The pie chart depicts the proportion of people
from different countries residing in Australia, while the table presents demographic figures which are classified according to urban and rural areas. As can be seen from the pie chart, the Australian makes up nearly three quarters of the total population. This is followed by the figure of people coming from the UK (7%) and New Zealand (3%). Whereas, Chinese and Dutch ethnicity hold an insignificant figure of among 1-2%. According to the table, nearly 80% of people from Australia and New Zealand dwell in cities, whereas only around 20% live in the countryside. The percentage of British urban population reaches 89%, which is 1% lower than that of the New Zealand. Chinese hold a considerably high figure with 99% of population are urbanites. Graph 2 The bar chart details the proportion of internet users according to different nations while the pie chart presents how much people from those countries spend on shopping online. Clearly, Sweden had the greatest percentage of people using the Internet with the specific figure of 35%. This is followed by the UK with 15% lower. Each following nation is subsequently 5% lower with 15% of Germany, France at 10% and Spain at 5%. According to the pie chart, the highest figure for spending (87€) belongs to the UK, which is 9€ higher than that of Sweden. This is followed by France and Germany with 57€ and 46€ respectively. There is a considerable drop when it comes to Spain as its residents spend only 10€ per person on average. Graph 3 The two given tables show the data of international students in Canada and the USA in 2002 and 2003. As can be seen, in Canada, there were 5400 international Chinese students in 2002, this figure rose dramatically by 45% to 7,850 in the next year. Similarly, international students from India increased by 35% from 2,100 in 2002 to 2,835 in 2003. Meanwhile, the number of American students in Canada grew by just 9% (5,000 and 5,450 for each year). According to the second chart, the international Chinese students in the USA witnessed a slight increase by 6% from 110,000 to 116,600 in the 2002-2003 time frame. Similarly, there was an increase by 7% (31,000 and 33,170 for each year). Meanwhile, the Indian international observed a minimal drop by 9% from 200,000 in 2002 to 182,000 in 2003. The total number of international students in the USA in 2002 and 2003 was 581,600 and 592,230 respectively, which outnumbered that of Canada (59,870 and 70,004 for each year).
