Stackflow 200 Flow Monitor Datasheet

The STACKFLOW 200 uses averaging Pitot sensor technology to continuously monitor flow, temperature, and pressure in industrial stacks and ducts. It consists of a sensor probe, electronics enclosure, and pneumatic enclosure for manual zero and span checks. Key features include automatic inlet cleaning, optional integrated gas sampling port, and flange for stack connection. It can measure gas velocity from 2-50 m/s with accuracy of <0.3 m/s from 2-30 m/s. The sensor can integrate with PCME single or multi-channel controllers for enhanced user interface and data logging.

STACKFLOW
200

OVERVIEW
Principles of Operation The STACKFLOW 200 uses the well established Averaging Pitot
sensor technology to provide continuous emission monitoring of Flow,
The STACKFLOW 200 provides Flow, Temperature
Temperature and Pressure. Utilised as a standalone sensor or in
and Pressure measurement by insertion into a stack or combination with PCME controllers for the monitoring of particulate
duct perpendicular to the flow. The probe is and flue gas as part of a larger monitoring network, the STACKFLOW
200 consists of:
positioned with one row of holes facing upstream
(Impact Pressure, IP) and with the opposite set of • Sensor probe
• Electronics enclosure (‘Measurement’), which contains the main
holes facing downstream (Static Pressure, SP).
electronic components, connections and sensors
• Pneumatic enclosure (‘Calibration’), which contains the manual Zero
Inlet tubing interconnects the probes two sets of holes and Span check controls used to demonstrate QAL3 compliance

to a Differential Pressure transducer. The Differential

Pressure transducer consists of two chambers APPLICATIONS

separated by a diaphragm, which is used to measure • Emissions from Metal, Chemical and Mineral Processing Industries
small differences in the Impact and Static Pressure. • Power and Combustion Plants
• Variable speed fans on dust arrestment plant
The Impact and Static pressure signals provided are
• Satisfies European Industrial Emission Directive 2010/75/EU and US
used by the formula below to calculate velocity (V). EPA PS-6
A PT100 built into the probe tip provides the
temperature measurement.
INBUILT ZERO AND SPAN CHECKS
Zero and Span checks can be performed on the STACKFLOW 200 sensor as
required by EN 16911-2 and EN 14181 (QAL3).

The sensor checks are done manually using the built-in calibration module
where: and an external reference differential pressure gauge.
V = Flow velocity (m/s)
IP = Impact pressure (Pa)
SP = Static pressure (Pa) In addition to assessing the absence of any significant measurement drift the
p = Fluid density (kg/m³)
overall performance and correct operation of the sensor is also checked.

KEY FEATURES
• Averaging Pitot probe for improved representative measurement of velocity, temperature and pressure
• Zero and span checks to satisfy EN 14181, QAL3 and US EPA PS-6
• Automatic inlet cleaning cycle for reduced maintenance
• Optional inbuilt gas sampling port for cost-effective CEMs integration
• Integrated Flange for enhanced stack connection compatibility and reduced installation time and costs
• Three probe lengths for improved representative sample and increased application suitability
• Standalone sensor or combined with single-channel or multi-channel Controllers for enhanced user
interface, cost-effective and easy integration of additional sampling points or other systems, such as
particulate monitors, to provide mass emission rates
