COMMUNITY IMMERSION PROJECT PROPOSAL WRITING

CONTENTS:
I. PROJECT PROPOSAL TITLE: Environmental sustainability: Clean-up
Drive
II. RATIONALE:
We used to breathe fresh air, green surroundings, and taste clear and clean water.
Today, the situation has changed dramatically, and we can see a huge difference from
clean environment to polluted environment. As we all know, we face many
environmental problems such as flooding, climate change, melting polar ice caps and
pollution. May come from air, water or land. The main cause of these problems is
improperly discarded waste. Environmental sustainability helps prevent global
warming and climate change. An example of environmental sustainability is through
cleaning. Environmental cleaning goes a long way in maintaining a clean and green
environment. Cleaning is a simple but useful way to improve a healthy environment.
This clean-up drive activity is to promote awareness to the people to do the proper
disposal of waste, and do the proper segregation of the garbages. We have chosen the
small barangay of Tambac, Dasol, Pangasinan because we have observe that there are
a lot of garbages scattered around the place, so as a student of Pangasinan Sate
University Alaminos City Campus and as an Immersion of our subject in NSTP, we
will conduct a clean-up drive to the said barangay.
III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
a. This proposal aims to help the chosen community by dedicating an effort and
willingness to clean their small barangay as well as encouraging the community
members to maintain the cleanliness and beautification of the environment.
b. At the end of the project, the members should be able to:
1. Dedicate efforts for the cleanliness and beautification of the community and
environment.
2. Identify the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the environment.
3. Associate and volunteer to do a clean-up drive and beautification project for the
community.
4. Recognize the role of the members of the community in maintaining their
community’s cleanliness; and
5. Evaluate their participation in the clean-up drive.

VI. METHODOLOGY:
1. Conduct a needs assessment on the cleanliness of the community. Validate the data
gathered.
2. Gather cleaning materials (e.g., brooms, garbage bags, etc.).
3. Ask barangay officials to supervise/ help the cleanliness drive in their community.
4. Put all the garbage on one place where their garbage collector collects. Get all the
recyclable materials and sell it for another funds (plastic bottles), and put on their
compose pit or around the three roots as a fertilizer the leaves or grasses.
5. Put up posters regarding environmental awareness.
