3. PROVISIONING DOCUMENTATION
3.1. FORECASTING MODEL PARAMETERS
These parameters drive the calculation process that determines
recommended quantities. They are discussed and agreed upon
with the customer – typically within the Material Readiness Set-up
Meeting.
The customer can decide whether the calculation shall be based
on the Spare Parts Class Code (SPC) of each part or on a defined
price range.

3.2. MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR PROVISIONING The exchange rates contained in the documents are for budgetary
RECOMMENDATIONS and planning purposes only and do not represent guaranteed
values.
A mathematical calculation will be used to generate the
customised recommended quantities in the various provisioning
files or documents taking into account the airline’s operational 3.4. AIRCRAFT APPLICATION TABLE

CALCULATION OF RECOMMENDED QUANTITY
For details refer to the brochure “INTEGRATED PROVISIONING
SERVICES- The Mathematical Model”. In the first step a part is
analysed for its risk of failure within the first year of operation via
testing the annual demand versus the minimum annual demand
selected by the customer as spares qualifier.
In case the part qualifies as spare, the first spare is allocated to the
stock. Further risks out of re-supply chain delays are mitigated by
adding further spares to obtain sufficient protection in line with the
expected demand during re-supply time.

3.3. EXCHANGE RATES USED IN THE RECOMMENDATION All suppliers who appear in the Recommended Spare Parts List
are listed in MFR Sort.
To convert the price indicated in original source currency into US The lists show the postal address of the suppliers in order to
Dollar, the exchange rates given on the “Parameter” page in the identify the MFR Code.
RSPL are used. The individual conversion rates vary depending on Telephone, fax and other details of the address are found in the
the world wide economical development. The exchange rates will Vendor Information Manual (VIM) and in the Cataloguing
be updated monthly. Handbook H4/H8: Section A and B, Commercial and Government
Entity (CAGE).
