Instructions: Read the two stories provided by the teacher and then write the following
information to each story. This homework can be done in pairs.

Story #1
Tittle: The monkey and the dolphin.

Setting: The story takes place at the sea.

Main Characters:

The main characters are the monkey and the dolphin.

Plot:
Some sailors set out to sea in their sailing ship, one of the sailors decides to take his pet along him, a monkey. When they were far out at sea, a
storm occurs overturning their ship. Then monkey who didn´t know how to swim was saved by a dolphin who took him to an island, the
monkey hooped off the dolphins back, the dolphin asks him if he knew the place where he took him receiving a yes from the monkey, he then
began to tell him about his life how he was the prince of the island, the dolphin was well aware of the inexistent population on the island and
after the monkey stopped bragging about his position as prince and his friend as the king the dolphin congrat him telling him that he was
now the king of the island, confused the monkey asked him what he was talking about, to this the dolphin answered while swimming away ¨as
you are the only creature on the island, you will naturally be the king!¨

Conflict:

The storm that occurred during their travel and the arrogant and narcissist monkey

Climax:
The main problem begins when the storm appears, it was the storm who brought the dolphin and the monkey to meet.

Theme:
Those who lie and boast may end up in trouble.

Story #2

Tittle: The boy who cried ¨wolf¨

Setting: The story takes place on a field


Main Characters:
The kid who watched over the sheeps.

Plot:

The story talks about a child who enjoyed playing tricks on the villagers, the child who was in
charge to look after a flock of sheep decided to play a trick on the villagers, he shouted ¨help!
wolf! ¨
The villagers who heard his cries rushed out the village to help the boy but to their surprise
there was no wolf but a laughing child, ¨ha, ha, ha I fooled you all. I was only playing a trick on
you. ¨
A few days passed by when the kid decided to repeat the same trick.
¨Help! Help! Wolf! ¨ Once again the vilalgers rushed down the hill to help him just to once again
find a laughing boy. The had tricked them, again. Angrily they left the field.
Sometime later a wolf really went into the field. The wolf attacked one sheep, and then another,
and another. Scared the boy ran towards the village shouting ¨Help! Help! Wolf! Help!
Somebody! ¨
The villagers heard his cries but instead of helping him they laughed thinking it was just
another one of his tricks.
Running to the nearest village the boy said ¨A wolf is attacking the flock, I lied before, but this
time it is true. ¨
Finally, the villager went to look if it was true, indeed it was, they could see a running wolf
stained with the blood of the sheep and the massacre the wolf left behind.

Conflict:
The lies of the child and the wolf.

Climax:
The problem began with the lies of the child.
Theme:
We may not believe someone who often tells lies, even when he tells the truth.
