Rubik Cube Solution


This is beginner’s method. In this method, the Rubik Cube is solved in layers

A. FIRST LAYER:
Keep this layer at top. Assume that the color of this layer is blue (i.e. the color of the centre cube of this layer)
is blue

A1) First Step:


Establish a blue cross.
Target
Use the following algorithms depending upon appropriate scenarios.

B. MIDDLE LAYER:
Rotate the entire cube to make the completed top face as bottom face and complete the middle layer. Use the
following algorithms depending upon appropriate scenarios.

C. LAST LAYER:
Rotate the entire cube to make the last layer as top face. Assume that the color of this layer is red.
C1) First Step:
Establish a red cross.

C2) Second Step:


The edge cubes (cross ends) may have to be exchanged. Use the following algorithm depending upon
appropriate scenarios.

C3) Third Step:


Position the corner cubes at their correct places (ignoring their orientations).
First locate, if possible one corner cube which is in correct position and place it in FRU position
(ignore its orientation).
Next apply the following algorithm to cycle (CCW) the remaining corner cubes.

If CW cycling is needed, then apply the above algorithm twice.
If no cube is in correct position, then first apply the above algorithm once or twice to get atleast one
cube in correct position. Then rotate the entire cube to get this cube at FRU corner. After that apply the
above algorithm (possibly twice if CW cycling is needed) to position all the cubes in their correct
positions
C4) Fourth Step:
Reorient the corner cubes so that their upper faces are red.
Position the cube, to be reoriented, at FRU position. Next apply the following algorithm twice to cycle
the F, R & U faces in CCW direction. CW direction cycling will require additional 2 application of the
same algorithm

Once the FRU cube has red facing up then rotate ONLY the UPPER face to get next cube, to be
reoriented, in FRU position. Repeat this procedure till all the corner cubes have red facing up.
After this, a rotation or two of the upper face will be required to complete the solution of the Rubik
cube.
During this procedure, the rest of the Rubik cube will appear to have been messed up. Ignore it. When
all the corner cubes are reoriented, the Rubik cube will be automatically restored.

CONGRATULATION. THE RUBIK CUBE HAS BEEN SOLVED !!!
