1.

What are the personal and professional gains that the teacher derived
from the exchange or scholarship programs abroad?

The teacher exchange program from the YouTube video that I saw
has changed the lives of the teachers. This once-in-a-lifetime event is
life-changing, amazing, fulfilling, magical, and more. The description
they provide can only mean one thing: the teacher exchange program
has had a significant influence on their life, not just professionally
but also personally. The curriculum, according to the instructors
mentioned in the video, helps them improve in terms of ideas and
tactics. Some claim that the curriculum helps them comprehend kids
from other cultures, as well as self-reflect on what they do and where
they fall short when interacting with diverse kids. The other teacher
stated that the program has made her appreciate the educational
system and how it is structured better because they can compare the
educational systems of their home country and the place where they
are exchanging. Finally, the teacher exchange program expanded
their learnings through extensive professional development,
invaluable talks with some of the professors, and acquiring insights
on "why is this" and "how it is done" in their education system. One
thing all of the instructors had in common was that they were
growing not only professionally but also personally.
2. What were the challenges met and the solutions made?

Problems are also present for the teachers in this program; as the
teachers stated in the video, they face numerous challenges,
difficulties that strengthen them, obstacles that test their faith, and
with these challenges, they find methods to solve them because they
are far away from their families. One of the teachers states that we
must be adaptable because the curriculum that we encountered in
our nation is very different from the curriculum that they are now
following. Many unforeseeable events may arise, such as pupils who
are not from our nation; they must adapt to these problems to
continue. One of the teachers stated that they regard these problems
as motivation to do new things. To summarize, the teachers'
remedies to obstacles are that they think of positive things that may
happen in the future; they do not regard it as a burden, but rather as
stepping stones to progress.
3. What are your takeaways from reading, watching, or listening from the
teacher?

As an education student, I learned through this video that it is

not simple to teach overseas. One of our remarks is, "I want to teach
overseas since the pay is greater than here in the Philippines,"
without realizing that teaching overseas is not as easy as it appears.
After viewing the video, the most important lesson that I learned is
that we must be flexible. This statement is not new to us because of
what we are experiencing right now, but even if there is no fear of
this virus, instructors must be flexible since we never know what the
future holds. Finally, to improve and enhance our profession, we
must be teachable and open to new ideas and learnings.
