Sample Lesson Plan in Science Grade III

This lesson plan aims to teach grade 3 students about the colors of non-luminous objects. The objectives are for students to describe the colors of objects when light is reflected on them, participate in a discussion, and draw non-luminous objects in their natural colors. Students will observe various objects under sunlight and in a dark box to see how they absorb and reflect light of different colors. They will record their observations and present their findings to the class. The goal is for students to understand that the color we see of a non-luminous object is the color it reflects most, while absorbing all other colors.
