Ball Touch

Ball Touch
if a player touches the ball
or the ball touches a
player, it is considered as
a play on the ball.

type of violation committed
during an attack hit, a hit
that is intended to return
the ball over the net to the
opposing team.

when a team makes contact
with the volleyball more
than three times in one rally

Ball not toss

referee lifts the extended
arm, the palm of the hand
facing upwards.
Double fault and replay

players of opposing teams
simultaneously commit
faults. A replay is called for
double faults.
Penetration

Either for penetration into the

opponent court by a player (pictured),
ball crossing the lower space, the
server touches the court (end line) or
the player steps outside his/her court
at the moment of the service hit.
Referee points at the place where the
fault occurred.
Rotational fault

If a receiving team earns a chance to

serve, its players change positions
and move clockwise, i.e. player in 1st
position moves to 6th player in 2nd
position moves to 1st, etc. Not
changing positions according to this
order leads to a fault.
Delayed in service

When the server doesn't contact the

ball within 8 seconds, raise both arms
above your head. Use five digits on
the right hand, and thumb and the
first fingers on the left hand. Always
use the same digits on each hand no
matter which side the fault occurred.

A ball is out if it hits an antennae, the

floor completely outside the court, any
of the net or cables outside the
antennae, the referee stand or pole, or
the ceiling above a non-playable area.
It is legal to contact the ball with any
part of a player's body.

disqualification must leave the
Competition Control Area for the
remainder of the match with no other
consequences.At a minimum, the
Competition Control Area includes the
warm up area, team bench area, spectator
area, and playing area.
Blocking fault

The following are blocking faults.The

blocker touches the ball in the opponents
space either before or simultaneously with
the opponents attack hit. A back row
player or libero completes a block or
participates in a collective block. Blocking
the opponents serve.
Double contact

A double hit is when one player

makes contact with the ball twice
in a row. Whether intentional or
unintentional, the second hit is
an illegal hit.
Reaching beyond the net

If a player touches the ball or an

opponent in the opponent's
space before or during the
opponent's attack hit, the
referee, places a hand above the
net, palm facing downwards.
Misconduct penalty
