Unit 1
Write a seven day itinerary to any city around the world using the Present
continuous.

Day 1: First
impression of Tokyo
Sensoji Temple – Harajuku – Shibuya Cross
Check out our "3 days in Tokyo" article for detailed information on how and where to
redeem your Japan Rail Pass, take the Narita Express (or Tokyo Monorail if you arrive
in Haneda), and get to Tokyo city center.

Day 2: Relax in Tokyo

Yanaka – Gyokurin-ji – Yanaka Cemetery
Enjoy a walk through the imposing Yanaka district, one of the few remaining places in
Tokyo where the ancient and traditional spirit of the Japanese way of life has been
preserved despite the passage of time. A curious street in this area is Yanaka Ginza
Street, which cat lovers especially like because of the large number of them that can be
found in shops at street level.

Day 3: Last day in Tokyo

Ryogoku Kokugikan – Robot Restaurant – Tokyo Skytree
If you are in the city during a sumo championship, we recommend that you do not miss
it. The Ryogoku Kokugikan is one of the few wrestling arenas that has the ability to
take your breath away when you first see a classic sumo wrestling match.
during the cherry blossom season (last week of March - first week of April) due to the
large number of trees of this type.

Day 4: Wonderful Kyoto

Higashiyama District, Kodaiji Temple and Maruyama Park
A good way to start your Kyoto adventure is to visit the Higashiyama district. This is
the best preserved historical site, so it offers the authentic atmosphere of Kyoto
maintained throughout the centuries.

Day 5: Kyoto Classic

Saihoji, Funaoka Onsen and Club Okitsu
Kyoto has been recognized as the most beautiful capital Japan has had for over a
thousand years. Although now the city that has this consideration is Tokyo, Kyoto is
still the city of surprises for locals and the city of incredible views for all newcomers.
Day 6: Last day in Kyoto
Nishiki Market, Fushimi Inari and Nanzen-ji
Nishiki Market: fresh seafood, traditional Japanese cooking techniques, low prices and a
great location (3 min walk from Shijo, Karasuma or Kawaramachi station) – this might
be the best place to enjoy local cuisine.

Day 7: Excursion to Nara

Todai-ji, Nara Park and Nara National Museum
The best known temple in Nara is called Todai-ji. It is where the Daibutsu (the Great
Buddha; 15 meters high; 500 tons) is located. Even today this temple preserves a large
number of national treasures while still hosting traditional Buddhist rituals.

Write a composition about these questions:

Have you ever thrown a surprise party? If not, would you like to? For
whom? 2. In your opinion, how many people should be invited to a
birthday party? Why? 3. Do you think that themed parties are more
fun? Why? Why not?
If I have made a party and I would like to perform for my brother
In my opinion, the people I would invite would not be defined by the number of people,
I would only make sure that they are close friends and relatives of the person who is
being celebrated.
Because in this way you spend a happier moment, of trust, and it is a moment that
should be shared with the closest people.
Yes, theme parties are more fun.
Because that way you interact better, you can play games, contests, and it's fun to see
how well people dressed up and even get a surprise or laugh for it.
