GROUP DANCE COMPETITION

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


Judging shall be based on the following criteria:

a. Choreography and storyline 30%


(Creativity, style & originality)

b. Execution. 30%
(Timing, coordination & projection)

c. Relevance to the Theme 15%

d. Costume & Props 15%

e. Over-all Impact. 10%

Choreography and storyline- a good performance should include a clear storyline, appropriate
movements and techniques by following the assign genre.
Execution- the carrying out or putting into effect of a plan, order, or course of action.
Relevance to the Theme- The term theme can be defined as the underlying meaning of
a story. It is the message the writer is trying to convey through the story. 
Costume & Props - Costume & Props- A prop is considered to be anything movable and
touched by the actors - otherwise it is considered part of the set.
Over-all Impact- countable noun [usually singular] The impact that something has on a
situation, process, or person is a sudden and powerful effect that it has on them.
