2. Download and install the OpenText Everywhere app from the App Store
(http://www.apple.com/ca). Make sure you download the OpenText
Everywhere 10 app.
2. Tap the User Name box and type your user name.
3. Tap the Password box and type your password. If you can’t remember your
password, contact your administrator. Your password is case-sensitive. Ensure
you are typing your password correctly.
4. Tap the Server box and type the URL of your OpenText Everywhere (OpenText
AppWorks Gateway) server. For example, <https://
OpenText_AppWorks_Gateway:port>. Contact your administrator for this URL.
5. Tap the Profile Name box and type a profile name that is unique on your
device.
Caution
Allowing the OpenText Everywhere app to remember your password
can compromise security. If your Apple device is used by another user
when you have not logged out of the OpenText Everywhere app, the
other user will be able to access your Content Server account. To log
out, tap to return to the Landing screen and then tap Settings >
Logout.
7. Tap Done. If your credentials are correct, you will see your OpenText
Everywhere content. If your credentials are incorrect, an error message will
display. Edit your credentials and the OpenText Everywhere URL as required.
Profiles are specific to your device, therefore you must create a profile on each
of your smartphones and tablets running the OpenText Everywhere app.
For information on the features available in the OpenText Everywhere app,
refer to the online help.
Important
OpenText highly recommends enabling a passcode lock on your mobile
device to ensure security is not compromised.
• Download and install the OpenText Everywhere app from Google play (https://
play.google.com/store/apps/)
2. Tap the Profile Name box and type a profile name that is unique on your
device.
3. Tap the User Name box and type your user name.
4. Tap the Server box and type the URL of your OpenText Everywhere (OpenText
AppWorks Gateway) server. For example, <https://
OpenText_AppWorks_Gateway:port>. Contact your administrator for this URL.
7. Tap the Password box and type your password. If you can’t remember your
password, contact your administrator. Your password is case-sensitive. Ensure
you are typing the password correctly.
8. Optional Tap the Save password check box to allow for immediate access to
OpenText Everywhere the next time you launch the app. The only exceptions
are if you log out of OpenText Everywhere, if you shut off your device, or if the
app is closed.
Caution
Allowing the OpenText Everywhere app to save your password can
compromise security. If your Android device is used by another user
when you have not logged out of the OpenText Everywhere app, the
other user will be able to access your Content Server account. To log
out, navigate to the Profile screen, touch and hold your profile name,
and then tap Log Out.
9. Tap Log in. If your credentials are correct, you will see your OpenText
Everywhere content. If your credentials are incorrect, touch and hold your
profile name and then tap Edit. Edit your credentials and the OpenText
Everywhere URL as required and then tap Save Changes. Repeat steps 6 – 9.

Enabling Encryption
For Android devices with operating system 3.0 and higher, you can take advantage
of the operating system encryption functionality to encrypt the OpenText
Everywhere files that are stored on your device. For more information, see these

source.android.com/tech/encryption/android_crypto_implementation.html).
Enabling encryption should only be performed by experienced developers.
