User interface
This format is used for elements in the graphical user interface (GUI), such as
buttons, names of icons, menu items, and fields.

Filenames, commands, and sample data

This format is used for file names, paths, URLs, and commands at the command
prompt. It is also used for example data, text to be entered in text boxes, and
other literals.

Note: If you copy command line examples from a PDF, be aware that PDFs
can contain hidden characters. OpenText recommends that you copy from
the HTML version of the document, if it is available.

KEY NAMES
Key names appear in ALL CAPS, for example:
Press CTRL+V.

<Variable name>
Angled brackets < > are used to denote a variable or placeholder. The user
replaces the brackets and the descriptive content with the appropriate value. For
example, <server_name> becomes serv01.

Internal cross-references
Click the cross-reference to go directly to the reference target in the current
document.

External cross-references
External cross-references are usually text references to other documents.
However, if a document is available in HTML format, for example, in the
Knowledge Center, external references may be active links to a specific section
in the referenced document.

OpenText Everywhere Clients

The OpenText Everywhere platform provides a seamless, interactive view of content

and functionality from many OpenText Enterprise systems using an Apple®
iPhone®, Apple® iPad®, or Android® device.

1.1 Installing OpenText Everywhere on an iPhone or

iPad
Using the OpenText Everywhere app on an iPhone or iPad, you can access Content
Server to manage your documents, initiate and respond to workflows and
assignments, and add status updates and comments to your documents using Feeds.

To install OpenText Everywhere on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Optional If you have a previous version of the OpenText Everywhere app

installed on your device, delete the app before proceeding.

2. Download and install the OpenText Everywhere app from the App Store
(http://www.apple.com/ca). Make sure you download the OpenText
Everywhere 10 app.

1.2 Signing In To OpenText Everywhere on an

iPhone or iPad
To access your Content Server content, you must create a profile. Profiles are specific
to your mobile device, therefore you must create a profile on each of your
smartphones and tablets running the OpenText Everywhere app.

To sign in to OpenText Everywhere on an iPhone or iPad:

1. On the Profile screen, tap Add Profile.

2. Tap the User Name box and type your user name.

password, contact your administrator. Your password is case-sensitive. Ensure
you are typing your password correctly.

other user will be able to access your Content Server account. To log

out, tap to return to the Landing screen and then tap Settings >
Logout.

7. Tap Done. If your credentials are correct, you will see your OpenText
Everywhere content. If your credentials are incorrect, an error message will
display. Edit your credentials and the OpenText Everywhere URL as required.

of your smartphones and tablets running the OpenText Everywhere app.
