STORIES

1. Two Silly Goats


There lived two silly goats in a village.
There was a narrow bridge over a river in the village.
One day, the goats wanted to cross the bridge at the same time.
Both wanted to go first.
They fought and fell into the river and died.
MORAL : Do not fight with others.

2. The Lion and The Mouse.


Once, a lion was sleeping. A mouse jumped up and down on him. The
lion got angry. It said “I will eat you”. The mouse said “Please leave me I
will help you someday”. The lion let it go. One day, the lion was caught
in a hunter’s nest. The mouse cut the net. The lion was free. They
became good friends.
Moral: We should always help one another.

3. The Thirsty Crow


Once there was a crow. It was very thirsty. It looked for water here and
there. At last it saw a pot of water. But there was a little bit of water in
the pot. The crow thought of a plan. It collected some stones and put
them into the pot one by one. The water came up. It drank the water
and flew away happily.
Moral: Where there is a will there is a way.

2. Fox and the grapes

Once, a fox was going through the jungle. It saw a bunch of grapes
hanging high. The fox jumped. But it could not get the grapes. So it
said the grapes are sour and walked away.

Moral: It is easy to despise what you cannot have.

3. Tony the Tiger.


Tony the tiger was very hungry. It went near a pond. It saw many frogs.
Tony pounced on a fat frog. The frog said “I am dirty”. Let me
