Output Plan/s
Think of your local place and, like Dr. Jose Rizal, devise a plan that is both
necessary and beneficial to its improvement. Mention the areas of concern and
propose potential solutions.
CONCERN 1: URBAN POOR (squatters)

Areas Of Concern:
Dagohoy Paradise, Barangay North
Labangal, Silway River
Queen Tuna Park
Other parts of Gensan

A lot of people here in Gensan are illegal settlers and this is because they have nowhere else to
go. It is important to take care of these people because most of them are living in dire and
dangerous situations such as those who live under Labangal, Silway bridge, beside Silway River
specifically. Most of them also do not have a proper drainage system thus they just secrete feces
anywhere which is highly unsanitary and threatening to their health. They also are very prone to
rapid and wide-scope fire since their houses are made out of very light and non-standard materials.
This means that anytime, the city might need to help them from repeated catastrophes, affecting the
masses, them as the victim the most.

If these people have a standard house of their own, they will have a better emotional, mental,
social, physical and financial health. Therefore, instead of becoming a headache citizen, they will
now become a part of the pride of the city.

SOLUTION:
The government already had some projects regarding relocation and I believe that they should
still be able to do the same again but in a better form. Since the last relocation clearly had some
budget cuts / corruption which made the houses unsuitable to live in and very dangerous. This time
around, the relocation houses should be properly made and strict monitoring of budget and building
construction should be realized.

CONCERN 2: FAMILY PLANNING (and teenage pregnancies)

Area of concern:
Whole Gensan

Without family planning, more people are being born in the city without receiving the basic
needs. When the parents cannot afford to let the children have what they need, they end up
becoming involved in illegal activities just to get by life. Which also increases a nation’s crime rate
and jobless and poor people. Yet decreases a nation’s economy.

Solution:
Children themselves should be taught about family planning and the importance of waiting for
the right time before engaging in sexual activities in school.

Parents should be encouraged to talk about sex education and the dire life as a consequence of
not being established yet having children at an early age at home. They should also be educated
about family planning through government officials visiting barangays and having all parents attend
family planning seminars mandatorily.

The government should create more job opportunities by inviting businessmen and investors to
the city.

A family day should be encouraged to help build love inside the walls of the home and prevent
teens from seeking love outside the home. Because teen relationships without proper guidance
often led to unwanted pregnancies.

CONCERN 3: JOBLESS METROPILITANS

Area of concern:
Some parts of Gensan

Joblessness leads to poverty and crimes. Therefore, people should receive more job
opportunities and also have the minimum wage followed.

Solution:
The government should provide business opportunities by bringing or attracting investors to
Gensan which should also consider the undergrads as their employees. They should highly monitor
business owners for the salary of their workers and implement that there should be no one receiving
something below minimum wage at all costs.

CONCERN 4: BEGGARS
