obstruction and debris that should be cleared (PUNCHLISTING). If there is/are, (Your company name)
FOREMAN should coordinate with the GENERAL CONTRACTOR for the close-out. Some of the basic
requirement for installation are elevation marking and reference point where all point of connection is located.

*** REFERENCE POINT / GRIDLINE

*** ELEVATION

All A36 Steel members are in Epoxy Primer Paint Finish

2. INSTALLATION OF ANCHOR BOLTS

a. PLACING OF ANCHOR BOLTS

i. Before placing the anchor bolts, layout works should be performed first to check the exact
location of bolts. Spacing of bolts should be considered as well as the straightness of bolts.

ii. Upon placement, welding is required to fix the bolt with the nearest reinforcement. In some
cases, alteration of location is necessary to embed all required number of bolts. These
alterations should be approved by the consultant and (INSERT CLIENT NAME HERE) QC.

iii. Final check should be done prior to concrete pouring. All anchor bolts should be fixed
properly to avoid breaking out during concrete pouring.

3. INSTALLATION OF BASE PLATES

i. Upon installation of anchor bolts, actual spacing and location of bolts on base plates should be
measured.

ii. After plotting the location of bolts on base plates, magnetic drilling on base plates is required.

iii. Once the base plates are ready, installation of plates can be done and required minimum (or
required torque) on nut should be considered.

iv. Minimum or required torque on nut should be provided by consultant and to be included in the
inspection as part of quality control check.

4. INSTALLATION OF A36 STEEL MEMBERS

i. Before installation, fabrication is required to cut all A36 Steel members according to the
required dimension.

ii. After fabrication, all members are to be installed and connected to baseplates by welding
connection. Assistance of tower crane for lifting is required for main members. Other steel
members will be lifted manually by chain block.

iii. Tack welding is necessary to pre-position the members by using 60XX Welding Rod.

iv. Once all members are pre-positioned, another quality control check is required to verify and
double check all dimensions and location of members.

v. Once all dimension and locations are verified and correct, full welding of steel members
should follow.

5. FULL WELDING

i. During full welding, 60XX welding rod will be used as root passing (if necessary) and should
be followed by 70XX welding rod to complete the weld.

ii. Dye penetrant test can be performed as part of quality control check. 10% of all welding joints
or 20 feet of welding length will be considered as test specimen. Maximum of 1 visit of third-
party testing group is included in our proposal. Any excess should be organized by the general
contractor or client.

6. FINISHING

i. After DPT, two coats of epoxy primer grey paint will be applied before turnover

VI. REMARKS

All installation activities will be done on site. If there are conflicts on drawings with the actual site conditions, the
GENERAL CONTRACTOR should be informed immediately and revisions should be resolved and approved only
by the GENERAL CONTRACTOR before the implementation on site.
