LEARNING ACTIVITIES
Activity 1
Answer the following:
1. Teacher Clariza is a neophyte teacher in a public elementary school. She always complains
about her noisy and unruly pupils. Telling them to keep in a soft manner has not been
effective. Suggest some tips on how she can condition her class to keep still by applying the
Pavlovian and Watsonian Behaviorism theories.
1.Compliment Good Behavior
2.Support Praise With Evidence
3.Utilize Negative Reinforcement
4.Apply Unpleasant Consequences When Necessary
2. How do teachers form a good and lasting image to their students by using classical conditioning?
- I believe that simply being a nice person who is genuinely interested in a child's development will
leave a positive and lasting impression on students of a teacher. Fairness and a willingness to
listen, in my opinion, are also important factors. Kids understand that mean individuals are
unpleasant, and a mean teacher is no exception, even if they've been conditioned to accept
teachers who aren't pleasant. That's why, when a teacher is a good person, students recognize
how much it matters to them.
- Teachers can use classical conditioning in the classroom to assist pupils overcome anxiety or fear
by creating a good classroom environment. When an anxious scenario, such as performing in front
of a group, is combined with nice settings, the learner is more likely to develop new associations.
3. Why is it important for in-service teachers to learn the concept of conditioning in teaching a learner-centered
classroom?
- It is important for in-service teachers to learn the concepts of conditioning in teaching a
learner- centered classroom because they act as facilitator and guides. They offer support
whenever, wherever, and on demand, embody core values that support deeper learning, truly
encourage students to drive their own learning, provide real-world and authentic learning
experiences, and use technology to personalize learning.
The learning objectives serves as the foundation of a lesson and serves as the "cause" for
teaching and observing it. Teachers frequently begin by choosing a subject, concept, theme, or
topic to explore in their course. Many people are drawn to topics that are difficult for students to
understand or for professors to teach.
