SOP Title Emergency operating Procedures Fire Suppression System

EOP covers the Emergency Shutdown and Escalation procedures, for reactive & corrective
SOP Purpose maintenance activities, and steps to be followed to detect a fault, in FSS and escalate the incident to
concerned hierarchy and equipment vendor or OEM

RISK
Isolation & Sustain Operation Sequence
Check
Proceed to Ensured unit and floor

Inform the NOC operator that the task is about to start
Stop the unit by switching OFF the Fire Suppression System.
Make sure that no alarms on Fire Suppression System panel.
Turn off Fire Suppression System and Disconnect Switch & apply LOTO
Confirm that the Fire Suppression System unit is de-energized completely.
Remove any battery terminals if connected. Check

Proceed with the maintenance as per the applicable MOP

Incident Management
Confirm the availability of emergency spare parts or kits (if required)
Refer to previous history & incident analysis report for fast recovery.
Check
Create Incident Ticket

Escalate to OEM / Vendor to adhere to agreed SLA
Ensure that a PTW is issued and approved (if applicable)
Ensure that a WO is issued and approved

1. Repair & Restoration Procedures


2. Refer to SOP-TR-1A & applicable MOP for complete isolation, repair & restoration.
3. If maintenance & restoration of the system is not completed within the change window then ESCALATE to IT to be
ready for emergency and be prepared for Disaster Recovery
4. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to determine reason of failure
5. Close Ticket and record incident
