CGSMS FORM 2 Objectives

The document proposes installing an artesian well to provide clean drinking water for a community. It notes many residents currently struggle to fetch water for daily use. An artesian well would be the cheapest way to deliver water and provide a safe, pure source of groundwater. The project goals are to construct a semi-artesian well to extract groundwater for drinking, reduce water-borne diseases, serve ecological projects, increase sanitation awareness, and develop community unity. The methods section outlines meetings held, a site survey, project planning, construction, and a timeline for implementation from June 2018 to May 2019. It proposes a budget of 32,000 PHP for materials, labor, and miscellaneous costs.

PROJECT PROPOSAL

Every time I go to school or stroll around the barangay, I often see

resident’s struggles for fetching water to consume for their daily living.
Water is one of the basic needs of human and living things in order to
live. Many houses across the country uses well water. Well water is a water
that comes from the ground. Literally called ground water, a hole is dug into
the ground and pump is installed to pump fresh water to a residence for
consumptions.
One of the biggest advantage of having a ground water pump is that it
is quite arguably the cheapest way to deliver water to home or structure. In
normal conditions ground water that is tapped into by well is safe for
consumption, and pure, which is what makes ground water a great option
for some.
It is also important for people’s good health that the community they
live in is not only clean but also free from rubbish.
Through this, I came out with the realization to initiate to put up one
artesian well which is benefitted for all.

OBJETIVES

The goals and objectives of the project are:

 To construct a semi-artesian well to extract groundwater in order to
provide a clean, safe water to drink & to reduce the risk of water
related diseases by the residents of the community.
 To serve as source of water for ecological project of the community
and to sustain a safe and attractive environment for the citizen.
 To increase awareness about the importance of ensuring sustainable
sanitation for all and prompt appropriate action.
 To develop unity among the residents of the community in protecting
and preserving clean water.

LEARNINGS AND INSIGHTS

Before I started to join Girl Scout, I was known as simple student with
few friends and can’t even handle to become a good leader. Scouting
movement made me to become a better individual and it also help me not to
be scared to pass through beyond my limits. Through scouting I was able to
develop my socialization skills and help me to have new sets of friends and
enhance my self-confidence and leadership.
I also learned that we should take care of our nature, because
nowadays, it was strongly fading away. But before it was too late and
completely gone, we should all unite and start to fight back pollution and
help our mother earth to regain its natural beauty.
I remember the day when I was chosen to be the candidate for
CGSMS, that time I was nervous, scared and the feeling of uncertainly for
the challenges. But then, with the encouragement of my family, troop leader,
and friends I finally decided to take the exciting and challenging phase of
the movement which is to be the candidate of CGSMS.
Now, I am ready to serve my community and to inspire the young ones
and other teens around our place. Through my leadership and commitment
I can also help the community to provide the necessary things/needs which
will be benefitted to all.

PROJECT PROPOSAL
Garbage disposal is often seen as process of getting rid of the
unusable or dirty item in your household or commercial spaces. But it is not
the simple get rid of it as if it doesn’t be properly disposed it will come back
to haunt you in the form of affecting the environment in a harmful way.
In my way back home from school, I have noticed that improper
disposal of waste is actually rampant/evident. Used bottles, plastics, left
over/residues are being scattered anywhere. This situation is really
alarming. The effects has seriously directed impact to the community.
The situation makes me upset. That’s why I decided to initiate a
project that could help the whole community. I might not assure of a
hundred percent solution to this problem, but then I know through my will I
can contribute a little change to the wrong practices of people in that place.
Living in a clean and safe place is better than living in a horrible place
that is prone to diseases and not at peace.
This made me realized the idea to convince and asked support with
the people of the barangay to achieve the objectives my proposal which will
be a big help to the whole community.

OBJECTIVES
The goal and objectives of the project:
 To provide Material Recovery Facility to support proper waste
segregation.
 To maintain a safe and clean community and free from any diseases.
 To strengthen awareness and ones responsibility in proper disposal of
waste.
 To improve solid waste management of the community.

but also to others. We went Tita Emerita T. Mawirat our school
principal to inform her about the said project and my intension as one
of the candidate for the CGSM. With my guardian & our principal’s
consent, we went to the Barangay Hall of Calao East to coordinate

LEARNINGS AND INSIGHTS

Being in the girl scout movement taught me that made me who I am
now. Before I was irresponsible and lack of dedication in every task given to
me. Through scouting which gave way for better outlook of life. With my
eagerness to help others come up with the idea to serve or help my own
barangay. Guided by my experiences and learnings that I’ve got from my
schooling, friends, scouting movement family, troop leaders, I know I can
contribute something for a change.
Love for our environment is everybody’s concern. The place we live
plays an important role in our lives especially for our growth and
development. The way we take good care of our environment greatly
contributed to all in return. Garbage disposal is taken very lightly with the
poisonous and hazardous materials lying around openly without treatment
for other elements in the food and the air cycle to come in contact with it.
There has to be good amount of awareness among people and even with
educated class of people as they tend to get rid of garbage easily and not
care about its right method of disposal.
The scenario that I witness everyday leads me to the idea to lessen the
burden of the community. There are many possible ways on how to face the
problem. Different strategies, laws & policies were brought by the city
government but still people neglected to follow it. This will not hinder me to
push through my project. I will start from my fellow teens/kabataan to
support the advocacy that is benefitted to all. Awareness and one’s
responsibility for their waste are the least that we can do to the problem.
My initiative might not paid off much this time but soon the legacy
that I imposed through my leadership will be treasured for life time.
